JT,
My 10 4 has about the same clearance as your rear stay on both ends. Bill |

Question for CAAD10 owners: How much clearance do you have above the rear tire at the brake caliper?
With 2011 SRAM Red brakes and 23mm Conti GP4000s tires I have about 2mm of clearance. Frame is 54cm. This struck me as a little odd so I thought I'd see if others have similar tight clearances at the rear brake. Plenty of clearance on the front. Pics of new bike tomorrow :) |

Here is your original Here is gloss black with romin evo pro saddle with ritchey seatpost Here is White romin evo pro with white bar tape with ritchey seatpost Here is white specialized toupe with white bar tape with ritchey seatpost (just wanted to give you a different saddle shape) Does the ritchey seatpost hold carbon rails? Would the main difference between say the Romin Evo Expert and Romin Pro be the weight difference? I'm not sure $70 is worth the extra 52 grams of weight savings now that I just looked it up. Plus the cost of a new seatpost for carbon rails. I would presume titanium rails hold up the best, is that true? If so, how do carbon rails compare? That ends my questions for now. I have to start learning somewhere and I appreciate all the help. I convinced a college teammate to go with a CAAD10. I haven't ridden with him yet, but I've grown the Cult of the CAAD here! Thank you. |
Gonna send you a pm....

Here's the CAAD10-1 I just built up the other day. Still need to chop the steerer [photoshop'd out] crimp on some cable ends and make minor adjustments. This is intended to be my all-weather training and crit bike.

New problem on my Caad, to review bike came to the shop in good shape but without a chain, now i know many of you think the shop should have one on hand ,they don't.The shop got the chain yesterday and when they put it on they found a problem with the small chainring. The problem being that about six or so teeth were ground to a sharp edge from the inside of the ring. They called Cdale,Cdale told them to call FSA and they did.FSA asked for a picture of the ring which shop sent to them.FSA said thats not right we will send a new one.Anyhow i just wanted to vent a little and i 'am thank full my guys are catching this before it rolls out.

I dont know how people ride with their bars in this position though. seems like it would be hard on the arms. |
THS, white saddle and tape looks sharp on that frame. I'll be doing the same on my blk/raw.
|
After seeing the photoshop results, I definitely think I'll switch over to a white saddle and tape. The photoshop results made it look pretty dang great.
White saddle and tape would look pretty darn clean on the black/raw on the 2013s. |

(that blue water bottle was killing me! so I changed it) All the cycling gear I purchased was had at deep discounts, including the blue Oakley's and Garmin bottles. If I would've know I would have been purchasing a white/red bike I might have held off on the bottles and definitely would've gone with the red Oakley's. The riding jacket I got (last one at my dealer) is blue/black as well... All my jerseys and bib shorts are different mixes of red, white, and black. So when I'm riding, my glasses, bottles, and occasional jacket stick out like a soar thumb. |
I dont like the red stem/seatpost combo. I think it looks cheesy, but thats just me. I prefer a classic black clean look
