I wonder what sram the alloy synapse will get. I really like the green. I also like how the evo prices are going to drop a little.

As far as the caad10 w/disc...if I wanted my bike to look like a cross bike I would buy a cross bike :p

Unless I find a disgustingly good deal on a 2014 racing caad10 frame set, I am not shelling out any money.

Been riding 25mm Pro4's on the CAAD9 and riding gravel on occassion without issue. Pro4's do run wide. I'd expect rubbing of some sort with 28s, but then again, I think my wheels flex a little under 200 pounds.

I'm running 28mm LIP tires with the OEM brakes (whatever they are for 2011) and no issues.

Hey guys. I have a 2013 CAAD10-4 black and white model. I hate the white because it looks dirty so fast. How do you guys keep you CAAD clean while riding lots? What is your cleaning process and schedule?

Can I spray degreaser on the cassette, derailleurs, chain and chain stay and water off without disassembling the bike after every rise or so?

Yes you can. I use citrus degreaser on chain set and simply green everywhere else. Just be careful not to use high pressure to avoid getting bearings wet. I store my CAAD indoors and between 2/yr baths, the bike gets rubbed down with disinfecting wipes.

I used to run Panaracer RibMo 28c and had no issues as well. Still had plenty of tire-brake clearance.

Now that's funny.

I'm kind-of feeling the CAAD10 disc, not sure how the cable routing goes and if it will make noise.

Look forward to seeing the pictures of it. Not a lot of Caad's with Campy, but I have two.

I got it Sunday and I've put a few miles on it since then. It's white, so it could use a little cleaning. I'll get it nice looking in the next day or two and get a picture or two up here.

Its pretty daggone sweet. I'm headed to lynchburg to ride with my brother this weekend. My first time away from the flat ground of eastern nc should be interesting...

Any rust issues using a degreaser w/citrus in it compared to a plain degreaser?

I am liking the carbon synapse disc. I think the discs ruin the caad10s clean design, which is partly why I don'tt like them.

I think my next bike will be a cx bike. I love the blue caad8 i posted earlier and an enduro bike would be a good fit....but I want to go soemwhere else other than the road (aka in the dirt). I think a caadx would be awesome :D I am also looking at a felt as well....I need to try something other than cannondale so i am not one of "those" guys :p

I found a CAADx/105 locally that's pretty cheap, trying to talk myself out of buying it.

No rust issues. I think the citrus is included as part of the degreaser because it has a property that cuts through grease while gentle on skin.

WHERE IS THAT FROM? I need details on that. Now.

macca33 06-26-14 04:46 AM

It'd be the 2015 CAAD10 track bike, if I'm not mistaken...

SirHustlerEsq 06-26-14 07:47 AM

I want to see the CAADx.

Bluechip 06-26-14 08:40 AM

Is that a true track bike or a road fixed gear? I assume it's a track bike since it doesn't have any brakes. I can't tell if it has water bottle bosses or not.

The green CAAD 8 and black CAAD 10 look nice, but the others are a little meh.
