that guy also put you at kops, haha. if you use your drops at all, thats 120mm lower so dont sweat vertical reach. if you go uphill quickly at all, you wont want to sacrifice 20mm of longitudinal reach.
its 90mm, 0 degree? 55.5mm toptube and 90mm stem would work if you were quite short, maybe 5'6".
i bet moving your saddle down and back and same stem slammed will solve all your problems. just my thoughts. do your thing.

Does anyone know if Sram Rival any lighter than Dura Ace 7700, if so by how much? Also, will someone crucify me if I were to put Sram on my Colnago?

Been watching this thread for a while. I'm doing a budget build from my parts bin with a Motobecane LeChampion aluminum frame, full carbon fork, and Rival group. I'm looking for recommendations for reasonably light, bang for the buck options for a few parts, and I figured you all would be the right people to ask.
Bars - I have a set of FSA Wing Pro alloy compacts on another bike and find them very comfy. Should I get another set, or is there a light(er) alternative?
27.2 post - From reading the thread, KCNC seems to be the bang for the buck option.
90mm stem - Open to anything light and cheap.
Brakes - I have Rival brakes as part of the group, but if I can find something else for cheap (<$150, used is okay) I would consider it. Ideas?
Chain - KMC X10SL?

I weighed the Trek yesterday. 15.8lbs with the Spinergys, and a 200g+ saddle. Not bad for a bike that was 19.8lbs when I got it, and it has mostly hand me down parts from the S2. It will be getting the SLR soon, and with the Zipps it is definitely sub 14.8lbs.

when I recently built up my commuter I found a great seller on ebay that sells sram groups for rock bottom pricing. I got a whole apex group for $512. I even got the custom build (170mm cranks, and a weird 12-32 cassette) for my commuter bike build.
The rival group is only $649. (i was actually a bit angry that I didn't just spend the extra $130 for rival, but then again it was for a commuter bike).
but here's the kicker: she's got brand new SRAM 2012 groups for $1525 . The gallery picture is wrong but its a legit 2012 sram red group. I almost bought a whole new group last night but someone beat me to it. She seems to have them once every 2-3weeks.
If the new group weights are for real (under 1700g for the new sram red) I could theoretically get my 1993 bridgestone RB-1 (steel frame and fork) in the 16lbs range.
my mind is already scheming: 2012 sram red would get the bike into the 16lbs range... new 1300g wheelset would put it in UCI illegal territory.... I'd probably just keep the group for a carbon fiber frame build instead, but it tickles me to think that I could have a weight weenie steel bike without going super exotic on parts.

Speaking of tubies. Picking up some EC90TT Tubies today. Front is cracked from a crash rear is perfect for $300. Easton has a crash replacement policy, and I can get the front repaired or replaced for either $300-350 if I remember correctly. So I'm going to have another set of tubies for the Trek to race crits on soon for like $650.

Sad news I was in a head on collision with a kid on the bike path. Everyone was only but my BMC did not survive. Looks like I might get a settlement and have about 4-5k to play with. The possibilities are endless.
here is a sad photo or two

Thanks all, I just hope to get a fair settlement and then I'll be here asking a million questions about my new ride. I have started to think about frames. I can get a caad 10 for something like $615 (team deal)
