Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

whew...just when I start to do ok running my wife decides we need to walk up hills with 60 lb packs...good weekend.

I thought of pcad as I passed his thruway exit.

Way proud of the dog. she only needed to be carried/boosted <10 times. only 3 times the second day (she gained a lot of confidence) she made it all the way up and down sugarloaf with no help. The terrain is pretty rocky and was wet this weekend.

Incorrect, it's about 20-30deg cooler in my basement right now. Thought about riding my trainer for that reason as well.

Don't worry, when you start riding I'm sure you will have some problems to complain about.

Poor LowCel. I may out-lean him at the May mileage finish line due to his foot issues.

Here is today's ride. 44 miles with 2,349 feet of climbing. Feet hurt but it was tolerable.

Very good. I'm glad that worked out for her.

All I can do is think good thoughts. I know you have made it two years without them, but they can't hurt. I honestly hope the very best, for all involved.

I blew off going to the Human Powered Vehicle races yesterday. I wonder if that dude was there.

His forehead + flowing mane are almost shaped like a TT helmet.

Thanks, LAJ.

The sbxx bike stand has moved to the barn. I had no excuse.
