Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well... since there have been some cyclocross bikes posted lately I thought I would share my new Kinesis Crosslight Pro6. Just finished building it up this morning.

'Tis the season. Hot, great looking bike. Did you paint the shifters or do the levers come in white?

I agree. I have a much better photo of the drive side (same angle) but that's really the only photo I took that shows the non-drive side

This one had a freakin' tree in the way too.

I really like the background, but there's too much in the foreground for me.

Hot, and this is the time of year when such bikes come to serve as road bikes, isn't it?

The brakes are amazing, they will definitely send me flying over the handlebars if I hit grab too much front brake. I'd say they're pretty close in power to my Avid Elixir 1 brakes on my MTB (I have 180mm rotors on the MTB & 160mm rotors on this bike, so the brakes should be a bit stronger). I have no issues with the lever travel. These are the second generation HyRds with increased reservoir size, that might help but I'm not sure.

That's where the levers stop at full engagement.

Your bike is hot. like hawt..HAWTT.

However, I do not believe you actually rode it in the snow since only your tires have snow on them.

hot. however, whoever put your wheel decals on, didn't line them up the same relative to the valve hole.

sorry. (once it has been seen, it cannot be unseen!)

but all nitpicking aside, good lookin' bike

Keen eye! The front wheel is mounted backwards. Something I noticed long after I took that image. Needless to say the issue has been rectified. They line up spot on now.

Bikes: Black Incs

So the stickers are aligned differently on each side?

Easton emblems are actually painted on not stickers and yes they are painted on slightly different on either side of the wheel. that is to visually further aid in placement of the wheel in correct orientation which apparently in my case didn't help much.

Just noticed my calipers are RS785's as well but the shifters are RS685's. All the pictures of those calipers show radiator fins on them, not sure if mine should have come with them or not.
