Lol, no I did not ride my bike today. I like to ride my bike for sure but I also like to set myself up for the next ride and to do that I also need to rest appropriately. I hesitate to say this because the "joie de vivre" people will jump all over me. But I like the training process. I have a schedule and I semi-stick to it. It's not really about each individual ride for me but the overall arc of each block
of training. People think it's weird, but that's ok because I like it.

Rode the puch today after putting a different seatpost in it. For the first time I am completely happy with both bikes.

Aha....magic seat post syndrome is spreading to the east coast already...perhaps someone should develop a vaccine.

I bought a hacksaw today. Dirtbag weightweenie action will be commencing tomorrow! The grey goose has a TON of unused seatpost.
Also bought some 5mm M5 set screws for unused bottle mount holes in the Goose. She'll be down to 23 lbs in no time!!!

I hacked 10cm off of the 40cm Nashbar post I used for my sister-in-law's bike. That was so I could adjust the seat height though.

Peloton Shelter Dog
He's really sick. Renal failure. His numbers look pretty bad on the bloodwork, all of this was checked 6 weeks ago and was fine. Sometimes there is an acute renal failure superimposed on a more chronic problem, so we might be able to reverse some of the badness. But generally speaking the best case scenario is that we can manage this for 6 months, the worst case scenario is that he doesn't get through this illness and we say goodbye in the next few days.
He's not my patient anymore, just my dog, internal medicine has taken over.

PS @surgeonstone, I'm glad you're doing the hip sooner rather than later. It has to be done away, why not go ahead & feel better now?

Exactly. I haven't ridden in 4 weeks because of the pain and that really has a negative effect on me, depression etc.. Also doing rounds with a cane sucks except everyone says I look like Dr. House. Not sure if that's a compliment or an insult. I hate taking the time off for it. My practice is a product of my work and when I am not there , there is no one to replace me. I get paranoid when I am not present to take care of it.
Anterior approach.

It did get more than one page, but shortly afterwards got shipped to TH. The mod said it was done before "more" pictures were posted but apparently said pictures were deleted. Shocking news, I know.

That was my best thread idea in a while. I was hoping for 3 pages before the lock, but am happy it survived to get shipped to TH.

Someone actually removed my embedded pic and left just the hotlinked URL. How weak is that? (it was a joke/landscape)
