'82 Trek 736 12 Speed - 25"/62cm

[h=2]'82 Trek 736 12 Speed - 25"/62cm - $375 (Belmont)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Trek
model name / number: 736
size / dimensions: 25"/62cm

Very nice early Trek racing bike with low miles. Extra large frame ideal for folks 6'-2" and up (though I'm only 6'-0" and can ride this bike).
Beautiful Suntour Superbe brakes and derailleurs (I just replaced the front dérailleur in photos with Superbe dérailleur in excellent condition), nice Campagnolo Nuovo Tipo hubs and 700c Rigida rims, Cinelli bars and Stem, and SR Laprade seat post are all original and in great condition. Selle Italia Turbo Matic saddle with titanium rails is in good condition for it's age (early '90s I think). Suntour bar end shifter (originally had downtube shifters) are in good condition. Not sure of the vintage of the tires but they look to be in good condition.

1980 Serotta Nova 57cm 60cm
[h=2]1980 Serotta Nova 57cm 60cm - $800 (NH)[/h]

condition: good
make / manufacturer: Serotta
model name / number: Nova

Good condition Serotta Nova lugged steel road frame & fork with Dura-Ace headset, 60cm ctc seat tube and 57cm ctc top tube. It is from the early 1980s, Columbus SL tubing, Cinelli BB shell and Campagnolo drop outs. It has a Serotta factory repaint from some time in the 90s. It is rust free, has no dents and the paint is in fair shape - it has plenty of character and would love another factory repaint someday. A really high quality classic road racing frame from a Premier builder at that time. Looks great and rides even better. 126mm rear spacing, English threaded BB, 27.2 diameter seatpost. 60cm seat tube but rides smaller due to the 57cm top tube. In effect, it's more of a 57.

Bike is spec'd with an assortment of parts to make it rideable and enjoyable, not just an attempt at slapping period parts together. I bought the bare frame and built it last year, putting 300 fair weather miles on it before putting it away. I have way too many bikes and it's on the small side for me (I'm 6'2") so off to a deserving new owner.

Wheels/Tires: Mavic MA40 CD. 32h Shimano 600 tricolor hubset. Tires are Specialized All Condition 25mm. Wheelset and tires are in excellent condition and straight.

Saddle: Black/white Specialized Romin 143mm, steel rails

Bar/Stem: Period appropriate Scott branded TTT 130mm quill stem and 42cm handlebars

Bar tape: Fizik white 2mm Superlight Microtex bar tape

Seatpost: Dura Ace 7400

Brakes and Derailleurs: Ultegra 6500

Shifters: Dura Ace SL-7700

Levers: SRAM S500

Crank: Ultegra 6650 50x34 Compact 175mm, ice grey

Chain/Cassette: Dura Ace/Ultegra 12-25

Masi Nuovo Strada 56cm 10-sp Campy

[h=2]Masi Nuova Strada 56cm - $850 (Durham)[/h]

Masi Nuova Strada 56cm

Circa 1986 (based on some pictures I've seen of other Masis this color) Nuova Strada with full Campagnolo Daytona 10-speed groupset except for a Chorus rear derailleur. frame is 56x56 (22") yielding a standover around 31 1/2"

Best of the new and old: lugged steel frame, hand built in Italy and painted in the US at what was probably the best bike paint shop in the country at the time. DuPont Emron auto paint in a nice sparkle blue. Frame is in great shape for going on 30 years, minimal rust spots, no scuffs. Campy Daytona group dates from around 1999--the name only lasted for about a year before NASCAR sued, apparently afraid someone would confuse auto racing with bicycles, and the name changed to Centaur I think. The whole group is in great shape, with crisp shifting. New-ish cables and chain. 3TTT Ergo bars with new Deda faux-leather wraps. Stem is a Mavic 120mm; seatpost is a nicely fluted Zeus, which was Campy's Spanish competitor back in the day. Wheels are Mavic CXP-33 aero rims with Suntour Cyclone hub (front) and what looks like a Campy rear hub, new Serfas Seca tires. also a set of Look clipless pedals that may not show on all views. Bike is a wonderful ride, maybe the best climber I've owned. Needs a new home with someone for an appreciation of Italian craftsmanship and vintage rides. Also, if the ad is up the bike is still available, so no need to ask about that.

1986 Trek 560 Pro Series 48cm

1986 Trek 560 Pro Series 48cm - $250 (Durham)

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/5072955501.html

Small frame Trek 560 Pro Series, which was Trek's top of the line, or very close to it, sport bike model for that year. Reynolds 531 tubing. 48cm/19" seat tube with a standover height 28.5". Great for someone in the 5'-5'5" range. Hand made in the USA!

has Tektro brakes, Suntour bar-end shifters, Triple mountain/hybrid crank and 8-speed cassette. Wheels are 650B rolling on Panaracer Col de la Vie tires, which means you can use regular 26" inner tubes from Walmart (shrader valve) or with an adapter you can use the pricey Presta valve tubes from a bike shop if you prefer the looks and slow leaks. New cables and bar tape, newish chain with lots of miles left. This was a frame-up rebuild with all new parts except the headset.

Raleigh Super Course commuter style 54cm

[h=2]Raleigh Super Course commuter style 54cm - $250 (Durham)[/h]

Raleigh Super Course commuter style 54cm

It's a 1976 or 1978 Raleigh Super Course Mk II frame--it was the first year the Super Course had non-cottered cranks, if that means anything to you. 54cm/21" with a 31" or so stand-over height. Lots of vintage parts here, from upright handlebars and color-matched fenders to a Pletscher rack and a cool vintage-looking leather springer saddle that's a copy of the old Brooks B33. New Panaracer tires and tubes, new cables and chain. Frame is of butted Reynolds tubing.

Near the end of the long era of Raleigh Carlton hand-built frames. It's a great fun ride like you had as a kid. black streaks on the tires come from riding in the rain. i'll clean it before it goes but now you know it's a rider, and I'd keep it if I didn't have to thin the family out a bit.

diamondback master tg bike $200, surprisingly sedate maroon color. Asking price about $100 less than the typical around here for an Ironman

10 Speed Sekine Chrome Molybdenum Road Bike $65. This looks like a pretty nice bike for asking under $100, but it also looks pretty oxidized.

Specialized Allez Epic, frame needs work but parts good $75, organ donor

21 Speed Trek 750 Multitrack Hybrid Bike $115, nice hybrid

54cm Vintage schwinn Road bike / Lightweight $120, early aluminum Schwinn

TREK road bike//carbon fiber $175
