Did you just glue little pieces of metal to the tire or do they sell studs by themselves?

Straws 01-06-08 06:52 PM

sheet metal screws.

c0urt 01-06-08 07:53 PM

Gyeswho 01-06-08 07:57 PM

GreenGrasshoppr 01-06-08 08:02 PM

Your chain is on backward.

I know it's installed the way it says on the chain container, but they screwed up.

Yep looks great put together nice.

bonechilling 01-06-08 08:57 PM

Court, why did you go 650c? You don't look like a short fella or anything.

chase. 01-06-08 09:21 PM

it appears that the frame was designed for it.

TehK 01-06-08 09:33 PM

Judging by the rear wheel, yes.

bonechilling 01-06-08 09:46 PM

Yeah, I'm kind of asking why he chose a frame with 650c wheels to begin with. I'm not calling him out or anything, but 650c are a weird choice, unless that's a converted triathlon frame or something.

c0urt 01-06-08 10:11 PM

Thanks ya'll I feel loved

it is a converted steel tri-frame, note the crazy steep seat tube. I wanted something that stood out in a crowd, and the geometry is great for sprinting.

yeah the wheels are a pain to find tires for, and they had to be built no one makes cheap 650 track wheels

you know this is like the fifth time i have posted pics up here :-P

Well I have a hard time keeping up with this thread.

jdeane4 01-06-08 11:58 PM

Court, are you in ATL yet? Let me know when you make it. We'll have to meet up and ride. BTW, I drove through Birmingham last week on the way to Memphis and it looked like a pretty cool city from I-20

c0urt 01-07-08 12:27 AM

few more weeks. three doctors appointments. I am trying to get a disease named after me.

blickblocks 01-07-08 01:52 AM

Court, I've seen your bike posted a billion times before. Nice to see the owner on it, because that sort of explains the proportions of the bike better.

Kind of expected parachute pants or something else early-90's though...

c0urt 01-07-08 03:04 AM

My bike gets posted whenever there is a question about 650c rims.

and you have to remember I hang out over in the roadie section on occasion to

You're not kidding me? What would be the benefit of having it the other, 'right', way?

I admit that I don't usually practice backwards circles or anything so having the chain the right way would probably be a good idea.

Yes, I thought it looked awkward in the other photos but it all makes sense now. I like it.
