Speaking of which, here is my ride. Just put the finishing touches on it:

And my good friends (especially John) at my LBS helped me to build this. I think the logo looks cool.

I'll trim the fork soon. I've been riding it about a week. It is Bareknuckle bliss.

very solid build sinn. are those aeroheads? DA to aerohead has been my favorite wheelset ever in terms of ride quality.

Front wheel is Mavic CXP22 laced to a Shimano Tiagra hub, rear is a Mavic CXP33 laced to a Campagnolo hub. Brakes are Shimano Tiagra calipers with Chang Shin levers mounted on a set of Swobo Sanchez bars which are held up by a Profile stem sitting on an Aheadset head set. The seat is an older, big, and cushy Trek saddle on a Bontrager seat post.

i absolutely despise writing like this. it's a bike. stop talking about it like it's a goddamn soufflé.

Sinn- very nicely done. awesome components to complement that frame.

Yeah. Black Aeroheads w/ machined sides. The silver/black on the rim complements the silver/black on the DA hub. These rims are pretty light, and they are stiff enough for road training.

Per your advice, Nickatina, I am keeping the Suntour to Araya tubular rims for the track.

I actually like this bike very, very much. It looks fun and useful. There's a lot to be said about that particular variety of cool that can only be attained by not caring about being cool.

What wheels are these?

Here is mine when i bought it. It's a '82, the paint was horrible.

Now it look like this, not yet finish. I removed the painting, I don't know if I left it chrome or if I repainted it...

those wheels are ALEX DA16 off of my Langster....I painted them w/ Montana spray paint
- color: light turquoise

I bet you had just as much fun stripping that paint off as I did on my Langster....

Hey, I have an idea: don't read it. Skip over it. Manage your own damned internet; don't expect me to change the way *I* write to suit *your* tastes. I'll write about it any way I feel like it.

I gingerly wrapped the chain around a 39 tooth chainring and a 16 tooth freewheel, sprinkling a dash of lube on the chain. I then mixed the drivetrain at 90 RPM for five minutes.

You sure have a lot of money to spend on giving people on the internet something to talk about for 15 minutes.

beeftech 08-22-08 12:35 AM

Some really nice bikes were posted on this page :)

It provide 2 positions: one is comfortable, other is much more aero. The aero position I use to cruise speeds, and the comfortable position I use to go slow or to brake.

blue motobecane: riding bars that short constricts your chest, which disallows proper breathing, essential for biking. there is zero performance benefit.
