Seems like BF will take a turn for the bitter in 2006.

The bike looks great Katie.

i've always been bitter. at least i'm consistent. it's not as though i'm just being contrary, i just happen to be opinionated, and at this moment, my opinion is that SS/FG is a whole lot bigger than track bike with nitto stem after track bike with nitto stem.

remember...opinion.

I'm waiting on the black version or, if they do a clear, that would be cool. You? Hope the bubble bursts around the same time the track buzz wears off, so I can cop the rare stuff.

Thanks for noticing, BTW. Sharing my stuff on the 'What did Santa bring' thread is too much nerdocity, even for this forum. ( A Gundam SD kit and LOTR vinyl). I also design 3D, my company opens soon. (check the sig).

Do you have any of the original companions? PM me.

I'm gonna try to come by and pick up my case today if you're gonna be around...

Better pix comming soon, already had my first nasty spill (i think im cursed) and don't really wanna hobble over and try to get better shots.

kennethalan 01-02-06 07:11 PM

I LOVE that bike. I am sure I can speak for all of us when I say that we want to hear all the details of your spill. With pics. Okay thanks.

^oZ 01-02-06 07:12 PM

Lug pics please

jonb 01-02-06 07:31 PM

Sorry to hear about the spill, what happened?

here's the fuji, all decked out in dura ace 10-pitch stuff.
just to give a little perspective, the gearing is 47x16, and the cranks are 165mm (axles are hollow too)

onetwentyeight 01-02-06 07:52 PM

Jonb- on nye went around a corner and slipped on some loose/wet leaves and my hip gave a little kiss to the curb. It's gonna keep me down for a few days but I'm okay (thank you pain meds). Need to get chain tensionweas from freewheel anyway, and I already know where I wanna shoot some bikeporn...)

Guess I'm just accident prone.

spec breakdown.....

frame by Stan Miles (1950s builder, dunno much about him) respraypainted by me (i am currently acccepting donations of white nailpolish. I do fully intend to give this the proper paintjob it deserves someday, but I'm poor and this things already sucked up enough of my money). The wheelset is Dura Ace High flanged laced to Mavic Open CD 4 rims. Chris King threaded hedset. 3t Stem w/ Nitto Centurion bars (with snazzy crest). Campy seatpost (the one with fluting and sandblasted at top). Brooks Pro, Phil Wood BB, Miche 165 Primato Cranks, phil wood cog, dura ace locckring, and HKK Vertex Chain. I'm runnning 47x18, which I like. The frame seems big at first glance (top tube = 57cm, I'm 5'10 or 11 but actually fits me quite nicely (Seat's getting raised ASAP.)

Also Continental Ultra 2000 wheels suck in the rain. :D

This is my first true track bike and it's amazing what a difference the geometry makes compared to my old road conversion. I am totally in love with this bike and it was deffinately worth the time and money I put into it. I commute by bike every day and I look forward to waking up in the morning just cuz I get to hop on that thing and ride around!
