Oh man! Cancun is soo good! Go to the one on 19th and Mission. The one on 30th and Mission has declined in quality and I've heard the 6th and Market Cancun doesn't grill their burritos either. I always get the veggie with refried beans and just a teensy teensy bit of enchilada sauce or the veggie with everything and black beans. The refried beans are necessary in the former to keep the tortilla dry.

Golden Era is amazing! I got the gourmet chicken when I went, and while it tasted kinda like seitan, it was still greasy and well spiced and delicious (the spring rolls are also good)

I like the 19th and mission location the best as well. The one on market does grill their burritos, though. I ate there a lot when the lady worked at MoMA, just around the corner. I am a fan of the veggie with black beans. I had the mojado veggie-style once and i nearly split my pants.

I like the lemon chicken at golden era and the potstickers are pretty ****ing great as well.

I'm gonna level with you guys, while I do think that La Corneta is the best (the salsa rocks), the reason I go there all the time is because my wife works right above the place, and they make tofu tacos that are awesome.

Really though, I could go back and forth about restaurants all night, thai, viet, indian, italian, pizza, whatever, I love food.

the choice of taqueria for me usually is up to a coin toss, because its too difficult to choose. Has anyone here checked out Jay's cheesesteaks on Divis near fell. They have some really nice seitan cheesesteaks. Totally feeling it.

Sorry for contributing to the jacking this thread, but I can talk food all day. La Corneta, is that the big place that shares a weird glass wall with a dentist or doctor or something and the walls are faux finished a orange/yellow color? If so, man, that place IS the BIZZOMB!
The absolute best cheesesteak place is SF is the Cheesteak Shop on Divis and Sutter. They even have Tasty Cakes.
Also since I'm here...EVERYONE should try Saigon Sandwich on Eddy and Larkin...or is it Turk and Larkin? Great Vietnamese sandwiches for like 2 bucks. Tofu ones are goooood. So are the pork ones.

Oh no, that's why it's on the washing machine.

As for the lights, those cat eye lights are awesome. They hold up to rain, car abuse, everything...

mattface 02-09-06 03:52 PM

Interesting... the turtles don't like getting wet, but the cats don't mind it...

Good to know.
