Oh, and something for myself. Sorry the picture sucks, but it was the best I could do lighting-wise. 1984 3Rensho Super Record Export conversion, rescued from a garage in Miami. Inspired by dubteka's Ciocc World 77 conversion.

Big ups to trespasser, dolface, tlupfer, Freewheel Hayes (SF), Nauss Bicycles (HFX), Chuck's Bikes and eBay on this one. It needs a new headset.

Will "crappy" do as a description of that kind of seat?

Schnayke 03-07-06 08:05 AM

lol. It is heavey but you can reapolter it when ever you need. and it is fully servicable. you can replace the springs and the rails.. and there is a huge abmount of springs on the underside to suport you bumm. Kinda' like a spider web of coiled springs. It is comphie.
But ya' it is all in all kinda' crappy. haha. It just seems like it was maid to be high qaulity. ?

Thanks for that, Tomity! Is he a good racer? I can't translate that page for some reason.

With my wife pregnant and all, I figured she wouldn't mind if I took over her bike. So this is my version of her Jamie Roy. It was pieced together with bits I had laying around, including pedals from a trash picked bike, and an old seatpost for a handlebar:

I was brought up old-school and I just think it's a little absurd lately how people go crazy searching for, and paying top-dollar for, usually mid-level quality components just because it has some little circle logo on it. By no means am I a hater of NJS bikes, some of them are gorgeos as ****, and I think Keirin racing is bad ass. So I hope nobody gets offended by that little 15mm avatar, its just not my style.

people who do period restorations are far more fanatical than any njs-***** -- excepting, of course, people who want to do period njs 3rensho restorations.

too much japanese... time for some italian ;)

1989 guerciotti - 60cm
- campagnolo record pista hubs, mavic rims, vittoria tubulars
- campagnolo record pista 170 cranks
- campagnolo 47t chainring
- edco bb
- suntour 16t cog / campagnolo lockring
- shimano 600 headset
- chinelli pista stem and handlebars
- campagnolo record carbon seatpost
- selle italia slr gelflow saddle

this is definitely the bling bike and it's in stellar condition with just about everything pantographed. it's nuts, even the inside of the trackends have been painted. short story shorter, i purchased it from the original owner and the bike was built up and never ridden due to injury. i'd love to eventually switch out the headset and bb to make it a purebred italian, but for now she's a fantastic ride. (full size pics are on my flickr, see my signature)

Anyone know anything about Paris Sport's?
I have a Frayse bike from 1977. I am told it may have been built by a Cuevas or Moulton.
