Electric blue deep Vs. *ducks*. Yeah, that's right deep Vs. I was planning on getting some MA3s, but I bent one to hell and back, so I'm going a more durable route. The fact that a car hit it meant it probably wouldn't have mattered even if the rim had been a deep V, but I like the peace of mind and the blue color. I think I'm going to go in and order them today. Anyone in MPLS or St. Paul area have any wheel building experience they wish to share with me once they come in? I'll buy the beer. |

how is that kashimax treating you? I've been considering one for the bike im working on now.
I love how they look, but I hear they're quite painful on longer rides. Nice bike though, I've been seeing photos of your adventures in japan via Yoheis flickr. |
@shants
I donīt know much much about the zen messenger rings but I do know that they come in sizes 42-45t and are not NJS stamped. a bit cheaper too I think. seems to be aimed to fixedgear bikes.. @onetwentyeight the kashimax is literally a pain in the ass! itīs like sitting on a stone. going to replace it later with a road saddle, I think. |

The only ID I have on this frame is the serial number on the bottom, it's a Trek 531 frame/fork i dumpstered. Handlebars are nashbar moustache, with cheapie gel tape. wheels are Miche Primato laced with DT Alpine IIIs to Vuelta Stylus rims. No idea what the tires are. Campy 52/40 crank, hopefully soon to be a 42 or 44 if I can figure out the BCD on this crank. It's my commuter, my fun-bike, and when I feel like going easy on my friends, my mountain bike.

Pawls -
Those Araya's look great. Where'd you find them? Also... what Panaracer tire is that with the faux-carbon sidewall? Very strange... Awesome ride. http://static.flickr.com/48/125057930_0a08679207.jpg |

@keevohn
the rims were ordered directly from Araya, I think. and the tires says Panaracer Genesis on the side, thatīs all I know. @freddiesan yeh. hopefully the spring has managed to get to sweden when I return. one more month should do it. |
