Man, I know you've already bought it, and it's your baby now and all, but that description screams "Stolen Goods!" to me.

As for the nuts, they don't look like locking ones, but like somebody already suggested, a set of good serrated track nuts (as opposed to a nut and flat washer,) might save you from getting in a pinch one of these days.

I sold this guy a few bikes and this was the first time I ever bought one from him, I dont think he would be into that type stuff, but you never know, as for the nuts its a nut with a built in washer and a serrated washer beneath that, Ill google track nuts and see what they look like :) heres a little better pic...just a little better.

Not to sound like a dick but the 2 sets of brake levers really detract from the bike aesthetically. I'd drop one set or the other.

Clearly the original intent which spurred the invention of inlines is lost.

THE SIMULACRA!!!

IMO, inlines the way they were meant to be used are the bomb. Braking from the flats, tops, hoods, and drops is just awexxxome.

I mentioned that I like the ability to brake from where ever my hands are at the moment and not having to jump back to the brake levers in an emegency, this way the levers are where my hands are the most, on top of the bar and at the ends of the bar so theres no need to look for levers :)

ilikebikes--What bars are those? Where did you get them?

BTW I like the bike, extra levers included.

ilikebikes 11-18-07 07:46 AM

Thanks maddyfish :) I dont know? Ill have to shoot over to the bike shop on tuesday and find out ;) I know they are aluminum with a nice chrome plating :D I did notice a name on them but didnt bother to read it :o I was kinda excited watching the mechanic do the work! I had them installed at The bicycle Stable, over on 1420 Frankford Ave (Philadelphia) 215 634 0633, Chaz is the owner but theres a mechanic there named Montana and man is he good! If your in Philly give them a ring on Tuesday and ask about the bullhorns that were mounted on Tonys bike :) (They know me well ;) )

+1. i want to do that with my singlespeed too. how do you set up the extra brakes on the flat part. what kind of levers do i buy?

chase. 11-18-07 12:01 PM

you use cross/interrupter levers and just route the cable straight through. cane creek/tektro and salsa both make decent ones. you'll need extra ferrules for some types, though.

save_alkaline 11-18-07 12:25 PM

man, you guys have some awesome bikes! i love these 2 for 2 entirely different reasons.

That's pretty. What's the story with the saddle? Is it just the photo/my monitor, or is it two toned? Regardless, I dig.

Jeans bleed on white saddles.

cc700 11-18-07 03:01 PM

Whoa, the bike looks like soldier of the future with that tight brake + light set up. You pull the lever and a laser shoots out, right?

And that bike may not be effeminate, but it's pretty.

chase. 11-18-07 03:15 PM

man, those bars look franken-awesome.

Youngin 11-18-07 03:15 PM

put a green laser on that!

cc700 11-18-07 03:20 PM

hahaha, painting targets on the road for the airstrike i guess?
