Took a drive up to Topeka/Lawrence for the weekend. Gonna check out their local bike co-ops, then do some shopping before seeing Cults live. It's gonna be a good day.

Entrymax, you're chain looks decidedly loose.
I enjoyed a pint of my favorite beer (and lamented all the ****tier beers I've consumed over the last few paydays to get a "cheaper" quality beer); got in a 10 mile run, rode 25 miles with my son in the morning. Was a good day for a 4th grader to decide to play hookie and hang out with dad.
Unfortunately, today I have to go back to the grind. Two days off is never long enough.
4 weeks left until this semester is over; same number of weeks until I get to go up and meet Die Carleton.

Me too. I built that one too small for me on purpose (it's a 53) because I knew I'd want to ride it myself!
Found out I'm gonna owe the IRS nearly a grand this year
Got a promotion last month and as a reward said F-it anyway and just bought a Wabi Lightning
Thursday I picked up my road bike from the LBS and was reminded why I'll drive an hour to go there. $30 for what Performance charges for their "Pro-Tune up" ($80 lol). They had a Furley on the floor selling for $700 which I would really love but was ultimately comforted by the fact they don't make one that will fit me. Also had a SS 29er with a belt drive which was kinda neat, not sure how much.
Of course last few days we had frost warnings (wtf?) and now that it's so nice outside I'm stuck working lol

Woke up late and with a fever. Still no regrets from riding in yesterday's storm.

Just a few minutes ago, a roadie dude just rounded the corner by the shop and rolled by really slow, looking like he was struggling to recover his energy after hitting the wall. A friend and I were standing outside and I casually said "What's up, man? You okay?", to which he responded "Pfffffft!"
Why the **** do people have to be like that?

Cuz man, roadies are better than us and feel the need to prove it constantly.

Psh.
If I bonked and someone asked me how I was doing I might blow a raz too, just to mean something like "I'm doing terrible but I'll make it." Are you sure he was trying to insult you?
I have bonked. There is no energy for anger, just crawling along in pain and self pity
Unfortunately, there are ******** everywhere, not just exclusively on road bikes. You know the drill - smile and wave and say in your loudest voice

Today I took the FE exam. Went pretty ok, I think. I took one last look at a few problems I had given up on and I'm pretty sure I got the answers... so yay!
Then I stopped in at the bike swap and picked up some retro-awesome Sidis for $5.
Then came home to my new hubs and skewers. SCROD WHERE MY RIMS AT?!
Now off to the LBS to fix up my Aksiums nice and proper so I can sell them.
