Some day I will own a shop that will do that.

Otherworldly breakfast and cappuccino drinks in the morning and beers after hours. You'll all be there and it will be awesome.

Today I did slightly over 30 miles. Rode some packed gravel, a small portion of a single track trail, cobblestone, and some nicely maintained MUPs. Very fun, but the single track felt a little sketchy.

FTFY. And don't you ****ing forget it. You, me, Kaz and the rest of Tiny Fix, karaoke, Malort, rides, rock and roll.

Scrodzilla 07-30-12 08:19 PM

As much as I love Chicago, I hate winter just as much.

Besides, that city just isn't the same without Wesley. One of the biggest things I hate is that I'll never be around that guy again.

jimmytango 07-30-12 08:31 PM

This is true. Wesley Willis was a goddamned genius.

By the way, when I was interviewing at the Performance shop today, I noticed that in the shop they had a poster of Sheldon. I mentioned the "Ride" shirt, and the owner said he ordered one from Bikeage a few years ago and then that site disappeared. I had a Retrogression sticker in my bag, so now he knows what's up.

Also, my one cat died while I was away. Kind of took me by surprise, the poor thing was sick for a few days, but when I left she was fine. Four days later, she was found dead.

He wasn't exactly a "genius" but he had a way of harnessing his crazy that was extremely moving. Above all that, he was a friend.

I hate to get all emo on you guys but I need to get of the internet and just be in my own head for a while.

I think that the line between crazy and genius is fine, if it even exists. He stepped on both sides of it. I had no idea you guys were friends.

So I work at Bob Evans and I bust my ass tonight to only make $15 in cash and I am exhausted, okay sorry just wanted to *****. Tip your servers :P

stone12wm 07-30-12 11:34 PM

Complain....I guess lol

cc700 07-31-12 02:37 AM

that sucks bigtime dude. people are ********. that's one reason i'm glad i don't work for tips.

today i had a mindblowing experience where i felt connected to the universe in a way i haven't ever felt before, and saw others how i'm sure others see me, and it was really really moving and motivational.

just be real and honest and open with people and embrace yourself faults and shortcomings and all and that's the best way to make friends and be in the world.

also, i have to work on telling my friends that i love care and value them. i'm bad at that.

LessonLearned 07-31-12 06:08 AM

nice post cc700. words to live by. :)
I have a very dear friend visiting me from out of state right now and it's a nice reminder that life is good.

@stone12wm - my wife tends bar and used to serve too. people are so rude sometimes. why would they think it's okay to have someone serve them and not pay for that? if they don't want to tip, they should stay home and make dinner themselves, or take their ass to mcdonald's. of course if they do go to mcD's they'd prolly just make a huge mess and not clean up after themselves because "that's what they get paid to do" ... smh :(

Yesterday I had someone offer me a pair of black Nitto B123 drops for my pair of RB021. I declined and took the $40 cash instead.
Also got my Orbit-X headset installed by my LBS and took a couple pics this morning omw to work (one more pic @ PedalRoom link in sig if interested)

A friend recently moved to Colorado and said there is a shop in Nederland (near Boulder) that serves coffee and burritos. I might look into relocating.

One of mine is having trouble right now. He's almost 12. I found a lump on his gums the size of a small marble. Took him to the vet and got some medicine but if it gets any bigger they want to operate/biopsy. He's not acting like himself lately and I keep thinking I'm going to find him dead. :(

Denver has incredible breakfast burritos. And burritos in general. Go to Illegal Pete's, get your burrito "smothered" with green chile. Smokey spicy goodness.

Today is my three year wedding anniversary. I honestly didn't think we would make it this far.

Also, Snoop Dogg is heretofore referred to as Snoop Lion and has become a reggae artist. What the ****?

If that's a 5-hour shift and you worked in my state, paid minimum wage of $9.06, that would come out to $12 an hour, not too shabby.

I remember in Arizona BITD servers that got low tips really got the shaft cuz there is a separate, lower, minimum wage for anyone worked a position that regularly got tips. Bad nights you'd get sub-minimum.
