Iiiiii'm drunk. Had a scare, some ******** got in a fight outside out building. I had 7 people hiding out in my apartment until the state trooper and the ambulance left. Fun times. Other than that, the party was fun before, and only slightly less fun after words.

everyone around me seems to be having some serious life-pain. i just try and help.

also, about every 3 months, i get the urge to try a Brooks saddle (B17 standard or Imperial). today is that day. will try and make up my mind before i get on the computer with my after dinner drink. i have experience caring for leather in all-weather conditions, but i'm just afraid of another saddle fail.

Mind your saddle-to-bar drop. If the bars aren't level with the nose, the B17 will probably be crazy uncomfortable after 5-10 miles. That's been my experience, anyway.

been away from here and home for the past couple of weeks, working in eastern washington. i came back for the weekend, but it was short....yay, a long drive and another week of 12 hour days ahead!

It's weird going from a position of authority to being low man on the totem pole. It's very, very weird.

Today I was plagued by flats on roadie and fixie so got out the KHS MTB, hit the trail and KOM! (KOMs are so easy when only two Stravers ever hit a segment :) )

Today I also tried to rejoin a Bell 1/8" bike chain. Flimsy plate bulged with almost zero pressure. Like pushing a pin through one of them thick foil disposable turkey roasting pans.

today when leaving work at school, i spooked a trio of deer, 2 buck and a doe.
they proceeded to run with me and escort me off campus, was pretty cool

So I was at a friends house, and now I'm home, but the garage door opener isnt working, so now I'm sitting in my backyard waiting for my mom to get home. Thank god for California weather. And the stars are pretty cool.

dura ace 7800 brakes ftw

today i was alerted to a very small crack in my carbon steerer tube, apparently from over tightening (I didn't install the stem, one of my lbs friends did.) I'm sad and afraid to ride my bike.

at work, overcome with gutwrenching hunger. brought my usual food, but just not doing it today.

no access to food for another 1.5hrs, after the ride home.

this is going to get ugly, but there's Guinness w/ carrot juice waiting when i get home. it will be glorious.

today i bought a new tv. took it home, turned it on, and got this.
