Today I pissed off the manager at work and got sent home early. Came home, chilled and drank a bottle of wine. Totally worth it.

Yesterday I got offered a massive raise. Today I got it in paper. Can't even comprehend.

Gonna help covering vet bills. Maybe a few toys too haha.

I must be finally turning into a Southerner after all these years. Yesterday while I was hoping for the rain to die down a bit I went to the Walmart too (not the first time either).

I have to admit it pains me to see the bikes outside just sitting in the rain rusting. No bike deserves that, not even the much hated Thruster.

That you need to get that on film. Shouldn't be difficult to find an accomplice to film you.

I'm really conflicted about putting road slicks back on. Wider tires are super fun, but kinda missing being able to really cruise on the road.

My dumb ass likes skinny slick tires though.

I was expecting this. At a minimum I need some decent winter/beater wheels. I don't want to ride my polished Phils/Archetypes with salt on the roads.

Critique welcome.

It's my rush's long lost cousin, so of course it looks badass! No new fork? That's the only negative I can see. Those bars are pretty awesome, eh?

Start thinking in maximums. You need a new bike, dude. Don't deny it.

There are three thing your Soma has that my Bianch will forever lack; 1) your butt on the seat, 2) a Soma logo on the downtube and, 3) a water bottle cage.

The M106 has a flat top near the curve - sooooo comfy! I may need a shorter stem. A fork and drivetrain upgrade are in the plans.

So how much does yours weigh? I suppose that's real Brooks tape? Man your bike looks good!

Yesterday I found a hobostash of two front QR wheels hidden in some bushes, I grabbed them and hopefully can find the owners but if not, I'll just donate em to the coop.

I found a bike once like that...unfortunately it was just a walmart bike, so I left it there.

I find those in my back patio pretty regular, among all kinds of other stuff. Sometimes the hobos are there too. Could write a book.

If you work or live down town here, it's way too common. My old roommate found a Fuji cross bike with the brakes and handlebars stolen but everything else intact. Neighbor found an old raleigh conversion stashed in his bushes.

I found tools this evening while riding. It was jammed into the sewer, about to fall in and I almost missed it but turned around and went back. I had to wrestle it out.

There are a couple of construction sites nearby. I'll stop there tomorrow morning to see if any of the workers can describe the tools to me. Looks like whomever lost them might be a plumber.

Haha, the best I've done on a ride is a brand new spare tube and an iphone.

I can honestly say that the guy was super happy to get his phone back, especially when he tried to give me money for it and I refused to take it. Had some good karma going for me that day...and he did too.

I just got double billed on my order to Universal Cycles. Not their fault, stupid PayPal didn't issue the first payment, so UC sent me another invoice which I paid. Then hours later, PayPal suddenly decides to pay the first invoice, which hadn't shown up on my account. Now, I'm trying to get UC to issue a credit back to my PayPal account, which has already billed my credit card. Also, all this has delayed shipment of my order, so I probably won't see my Lyzene pump until next week.

Meanwhile, tomorrow I go to the dentist for the third attempt to seat my permanent crown w/o it breaking. It's now been 1-1/2 months since my root canal, and these guys can't seem to get it right.
