I love my Grand Touring, but this guy is nuts.

Grand Touring $500

Even if it was a Vitus-tubed Grand Touring, instead of 2040, no way for $500.

I have a brand new Raleigh bike recently assembled from the box 2 months ago. Im selling this one because I dont need two bikes. a friend of mine gave this to me as a gift before I moved to Texas. its a yellow bike. with black lettering it has a shock absorber, knobby tires, bottle holder, this is a very light weight bike. its either 12 or 21 speeds.it has alot of features. (I dont know much about bikes) this has alot of features. its very comfortable and a great ride. Im 6ft 5in tall its perfect for me. I will possibly lower the price. you will love this bike. its a mountain bike and road bike.

Would you fork over $1500 to someone with this command of punctuation? Now, I have no idea what bike a Merlin is, but to command a "god" offer, it must be quite the classic, perhaps ancient Aztec.

Bikes: highly modified specialized crossroads and GT hybrid (really a [formerly] 12-speed bmx cruiser, made before 'hybrid' took on its current meaning), as yet unmodified redline 925, couple of other projects

Maybe I'm the numbskull, but this Panasonic Pro 700 on ebay seems wildly overpriced to me. The seller has been repeatedly re-lisitng it for several months.

Bikes: The keepers: 1969 Magneet Sprint, 1971 Gitane Tour de France, 1973 Raleigh Twenty, 3 - 1986 Rossins.

From the primordial slime, oozing back into consciousness comes a horror from 35 years ago that I'd happily forgotten ever existed. An Iverson. To those younger than 40 wonder what the heck I'm babbling about, well, someone put the Iverson brand on the face of the earth with the sole purpose of making Huffy and Murray look good!

https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/159797218.html

And that price is easily $8.00 too high. I'd managed to forget that these bikes ever existed. I did not want to have to remember them again.

I can't decide if this one is numbskull or brilliant, but I do know that I wouldn't pay $250 for this frankenbike.

Nexus Equipt 3spd Cruiser - Mad Max Certified - $250
Reply to: sale-160726405@craigslist.org

Ok, so say Mad Max was too intoxicated to drive his flat-black muscle car...what then? Dude would probably use something like this as his bar-bike:

The frameset is a stripped and re-painted (ghetto-style with automotive paint) Jamis Earth Cruiser. The wheelset is based around a Shimano Nexus 3spd internally geared hub (not sold with the stock Jamis), and the cockpit is all BMXed out with Crupi Cruiser BMX bars, Odessey Stem, and a Tioga MultiControl Downhill saddle. Best part of the bike however, is the MRP 1 inch Bottom Bracket converter that allows crappy 1 inch BB shells to house a cartridge BB. It doesn't stop there...attached to said cartridge BB are Campagnolo Athena Cranks and Kona DH pedals. Eat your hearts' out bike-tinkers.

If you're interested in getting around with ease and style, while not selling your soul to join the hords of single-speed and fixed-gear posengers then this is the rig for you. Comfort is king. Please call 617 513 6713 if you'd like to take it for a ride.

If my tech babble went over your head don't worry...take a look at the following photos and all will be explained.

p.s. - this thing can easily accomodate full wrap fenders for your winter riding needs and will fit just about anyone over 5'5"

* this is in or around N. Cambridge/E. Arlington

You know, while $250 is a bit on the high end, that machine isn't all that bad, I must say. It could do with an all-black 1950s saddle though, and some North Roads instead of the BMX bars. Possibly some narrower street tires too. Other then that, it doesn't look that bad.
