I like the allez and the price is right if you're willing to do the drive to Bemidji. It's not one of the steel allezs though; it has an aluminum fork.

Yeah I saw that, if it was closer and actually in my size, I'd be all over it. Here's another good looking bike for sale, although it looks like kind of a mash-up of components Vintage Basso Italian Bike

Very tempting. Early Rossin with exquisite lugs, parts aren't in too bad of shape, either. Free shipping, too. If I were in the market, I'd snap this up in a hurry. My size, too.

I was going to meet the seller of the Gios. On my way on my lunch break, he called and said he brought it to a bike shop and they told him it was "worth about" $2,500. And that was the end of that. Not sure if he took a serious offer or just pulled it.

Had some spare Nuovo derailleurs, new sew ups not mounted. Seemed like a nice guy. Would have have no issue offering more that $400 but there's a bit of a ceiling where I'd go on that bike. Especially since I'm in the process of potentially going custom.

I thought this was pretty classy. Large/large custom tandem with late-era C&V components

Handmade Tandem

I have for sale a hand-made Michael Johnson Tandem. Michael was a forerunner to Steve Rex. The frame is in excellent condition, made from Reynolds 531 oval tubes. The size of the bike is 61 cm in front and 58 cm in back...so riders will have to be around six feet tall.

The original owners of the bike spared no expense when they had the bike made. From the Renolds 531 steel in the frame to the Phil hubs, bottom brackets and drag brake, to the Maflac Brakes, to the Ritchie Logic cranks, they bought the best. It has Campy down tube shifters connected to Deore XT Derailleurs. (18 speeds). Head set is Avocet. Handlebar in front is Cinelli and |I have the matching one for the back, but replaced it with a bull horn style bar with the rear brake attached to it. It has brand new 27 inch Continental Tires and tubes on the bike. Had to replace the front wheel, so it is brand new.

I have just finished a complete rebuilt of the bike adding new cables, housing, chains, free wheel, handle bar tape, etc. etc. etc. This is just a great machine.

And still the Simplex shifters and rear and probably front derailleurs, I'm sure a number of people would say $200 is too much; maybe. Still a nice bike and a nice Grand Prix per one with suicide levers.

Raleigh Gran Prix (England) men's 10 sp.-brand new tires $200 for this one too, same accompaniments really, the tape, hoods but not the leather seat.
This one is newer vintage, quick search looks like a 78'. Letgo so I am sure $60 or less.

Rare enough that it could go for over $3k, however, depending on whether two people really want it.

Edit: I agree with the generally price of $1-1.5k, but it's one of these things that just depends.

I personally would do $1500 without thinking twice. You can always take time to pick up parts or swap off something you have and rebuild a lessor bike. Just not in the market right now as I have made too many large purchases. @daf1009 Good luck! Post up if you get it.

[h=2]Classic Tommasini 52cm Bicycle - $900 (Dedham) [/h]

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Tommasini
model name / number: Super Prestige

I'm selling my classic Tommasini Super Prestige 52 cm bicycle. Originally priced at $2,900.00. Great classic bicycle in great condition, ready to ride. Asking $900 but will consider reasonable offer.

- The frame is in very good condition with no rust and nothing but a few of the expected road dings that are not noticeable unless under close scrutiny.
- The chrome is in very good condition. The bicycle has always been stored inside and with the exception of some dust and some road grit, the bike is excellent.
- The bicycle has performance Roubaix clip in pedals by "Look."
- The bicycle has fourteen (14) speeds controlled by a Shimano 105 derailleur system
- The bicycle has "Mavic" brand wheels in excellent condition and tires that are also in excellent condition. The buyer will want to replace tubes
- Handlebar tape is high quality and relatively new.
- Small but repaired blemish on side of seat.
- Trip computer included in asking price.

Nice Looking Peter Mooney on ebay with a $1 starting bid. Looks like 56 or 57 cm to my poorly-calibrated eye. Local Pickup. Seller does not speak Bike. "There is a small whole on the back."
