@johnnyace posted this in another thread, and I thought it deserved to be here:

Univega Superstrada in Berkeley
The high shipping cost, damaged paint, and Frankenbike aspect may keep the price low, with a starting bid of $199. The parts generally look like good stuff, mismatched as they are, though the Campy brake levers pretty scraped up. Might be a good deal for local pickup or facilitation. I've emailed the seller to get the first letter of the serial number to find the year it was made. I like the look of those vintage aero wheels.

Tempting at $200, no photo

Vintage Campagnolo Gran Sport 1984 KHS Olympian

Great vintage 1984 KHS Olympian first bought in 1984 and I'm the original owner, didn't ride it much most years.

54 CM KHS frame with Reynolds 531 tubing, good paint overall, no rust, always stored inside. Full Campagnolo Gran Sport component set-cranks, hubs, derailleurs, headset, bottom bracket, pedals, hubs, brakes and Campy frame dropouts.

Great, wide old school Cinelli bars and stem. Mavic 700 x 25c rims-very straight, never bent. Old school Concor San Marco Superleggera saddle. Blackburn pump goes with it.

KHS stickers weren't well stuck on so a friend at a bike shop rebranded it as an Eddy Merckx-nicer than a KHS and I've gotten compliments from people saying "nice old Merckx! Also have euro size 47 Sidi shoes-purchased 5 years ago as new old stock. Will sell separately or include for the right price. Asking $200 or best offer.

$235 with possibly compromised frame condition 61cm Bob Jackson - As-Is

**Head tube/top tube lug discovered to be unwelded at one spot so lowering price significantly for someone who knows how to deal with that issue or use for complete parts. I ride it currently but buyer should do his or her due diligence to see if it is safely ridable in current condition.

Bob Jackson road bike, don't know the model but most likely a Vigorelli. Reynolds "731OS Race" oversized tubes make this very light. Shimano 105 group, upgraded Ultegra brifters, with CXP-33 rims and Cinelli stem/bars.

Selling because just a bit too tall for me (third owner). 61cm C-to-C measurement (good for 60cm and 62cm riders between 6'0-6'4).

Please call/text (nyne-I-O)964-733nyne.

This thing is kinda kinda cool somehow. Primitive looking, thinking more for a design aesthetic in a CV themed bike store maybe.

I don't mind a pink bike but not that one( i'll take a clean pink original Univega any day) If that's a 50th Paramount with the gold fork, I think it was suppose to be black. Looks like a funny color choice repaint to me with no decals and 7400 DA. $800 tops.

Back in the early 90's I stumbled into a bike shop named "Detto Pietro" in an Italian city I can't recall the name of, and would mispronounce if I could. And I knew Detto Petro used to make nice leather cycling shoes, I wore them for years. In talking with a young lady in the shop I was told the shop was run by the Pietro family and that to make a long story short, Detto could not compete with Sidi's when plastic soles started becoming the norm. So they quit making shoes and just ran a very nice shop.

I suspect the bike came out of that shop. They made great shoes, hopefully the commitment to quality passed on to their frames.

Nice little hi-ten '72-ish Atala in good condition, reasonably priced, Wisconsin. Obviously, something going on with the brake cables that needs to be fixed. $125

70's steel Atala Italian Giro d'Italia

Smaller frame steel Italian made yellow Atala Giro d' Italia. I believe this is a 1972. All original. Simplex derailleurs. All in very good condition as shown, but will need new cables and handlebar wrap. I have the 3 clamps that secure the top tube cable. 30 1/4" stand over height.

Vintage 1976 'Raleigh Sports' cruiser

I am needing to sell this beautiful Raleigh cruiser! It is a great bike for commuting and city riding, even winter biking since it is easy to control in bad weather. It is also very enjoyable for riding bike trails around town. The bike has ALL ORIGINAL PARTS and is in near perfect condition. There is a scratch in the paint on the top tube that could be easily touched up if it bothers you, just FYI. I chose not to touch it up. The tires are also original, completely functional, but very old, so you may choose to replace them at some point.

Zero rust..!
Sturmey Archer 3-Speed hub with kickback foot brakes (also has hand brakes)
Spring loaded Brooks saddle
Original fenders on front and back wheels
Made in original Raleigh factory in Nottingham, England

It is a beautiful bike! I am willing to negotiate price if you pay with cash.

Please do not respond if you aren't serious about buying the bike.

--------

Lots more pix at link.

My Bike was purchased for me special by a boyfriend who is a technician at a very reputable bicycle company in Chicago. THIS BIKE IS NOT USUALLY FOUND IN THIS COUNTRY. The times I have taken it out I was approached by so many other bicyclists who drooled over it and had to know how I got a Charge Hob (which is a British bike predominately). I love how the frame is a "step through" without that curvy/beach cruiser top tube. The placement of the linear top tube allows you to wear a skirt if you need, but maintains an athletic look and feel for more serious rides.

It does have a few modifications that were done by a trained professional:

There is only a front break with the lever on the R side of the handlebar
The tires are off of a Fuji Feather CX (the white bike on our rack)
The crankset is a Sugino Messenger (single speed)
I want to say the seat post is Cinelli
The stem cap is white (unsure of brand)
The saddle is SUPER nice, but of course I forgot what it is
The grips are just some cheap white "leather" ones I got from BikeSmiths
There's a cute black and white bell and little flower pot bungee from urban outfitters
She also has her front and rear fenders (shown in the promo picture of the bike)

I'm 5'4" and it could comfortably fit someone a bit shorter or taller. I live on the eastside near UWM if you'd like to see it shoot me a text.

It's a feminine, but very athletic bike in almost mint condition. $250 OBO!

---------------------

I look up pictures of these "Charge Hobs"...

Looks interesting.
