The day started out raining and ended with rain today. Though I was able to get out for a 10 mile ride between the rain showers. I stayed on the bike path just in case the rain started up while I was out riding. So no riding my bike to work today.

I accompanied young friend who just turned 63 on his RMA ride today, with three others, all in their 70s. We took a beautiful route, highlighting Red Rocks Park, South Valley Park, Deer Creek Canyon, Chatfield Reservoir, the Highline Canal Trail, the Lee Gulch Trail, then the Platte River Trail to Confluence Park in Denver, then back on urban bike routes to Golden. Exactly 63 miles, somewhat hilly with 2,800' of climbing, relaxed pace. We encountered nothing but friendly people, both cyclists and motorists. We had a little drizzle in the morning, and pea-sized hail at the end of the day, just something to increase the pace a little.

I wish. Big deck project just started Monday. At the pace I work it will take 3 weeks. Once the demo is done I’ll alternate riding and working.

I left the house at 7:00am for a bike ride. The early morning showers had stopped and I wanted to get out before the later showers start. I got 15 miles in today, though again on the bike path.

Total of about 10 miles today- 6 in the a.m. for coffee, and four in the rain this afternoon.
Been a while since I rode in the rain. The mixte with it's pro-tite Pasela tires handled it very well. Been riding a fair amount this spring/summer so far. +20 mile rides are becoming less hard on me since I went to the cage bottle. Legs have been bothering me a lot this year with night time cramps waking me. Only relief seems to be the red extra strength Tylenols. Tried gearing down etc., and not much I'm doing on the bike seems to help. Have to get into the camera for photo's. It's been a while since I posted anything, and there's gotta be something useful in there. ;) -D.S. |
Got out at 1:56am this morning for a slow 15.51 miles in 1:11:18 so managed to be 7 seconds too slow for a Great Ride Time.

I was able to get out and ride early this morning at 6:30 am. The ride was 17 miles and it wasn't all on the bike path.

Awesome Redwood Shade at Old Haul Road 12mi, 1150ft.
Mostly rolling fire road through a few parks County and State (Portola Redwoods State Park) The Redwoods were spectacular! Dense second growth dominate but there are older first growth trees including many burned remnants mixed in. My first time there. Took my new Folder on its first ride down to the Reservoir. The hour ride was very comfortable. She's a keeper!

Today's ride time was at 7:30 as it was debatable whether I would ride. Cool, cloudy weather with maybe showers, I decided to chance it. I got a 13 mile ride. I was unhappy with how my bike felt and I am not sure if there is something wrong with it. When I called my son he told me I should just go buy a new bike as we had discussed last summer.

Daytime ride of 33.33 torturous miles. Hot + humid + too much ice and not enough water left me unexpectedly with no liquid left 3/4 of the way through + my rear red blinky light fell off.

I rolled out of bed early to get 21.5 miles in before it got too hot out.

I rode today due to bringing the bike back to the bike shop that changed the flat tire last Tuesday. It turns out the brake was rubbing on the wheel and they fixed that issue. So today I left the house at 7:30 am and got a 17 mile ride in. I stayed with the bike path today.

4.5 hours of blissful sleep and then out at 3:53am for a 22.22 mile ride under a 98.4% Waning Gibbous moon.

Sunny but the 80*+ days yielded to a pleasant 70*. Should be a stretch of mild temp days ahead= Cloudy & sunny, dry.

I was able to get out at 7:00 am this morning and get 20 miles in before heading home. The wind started picking up at about 8 am so I was happy at getting out so early.
