Can I use a smartphone to post, or is a typewriter still the accepted tool of choice?

Kidding, of course. I know most of us have graduated to Windows ME.

A handwritten note wrapped around the left leg just above the claw of a carrier pidgeon is the preferred route. Quite green, you know.

I'd recommend the thread be a floating one instead of a sticky. I'd also recommend it be locked and renewed periodically to keep it fresh.

If we blow this off, I think there will be no reason to fuss about having threads moved in the future. It is a chance to be proactive here.

Any thoughts?
This is a great idea! I have a few questions and comments.

Can we vote Pcad off the island?

"Get Off My Lawn" is a great name.

What's this thread going to be about?

We've had three that like it. That makes a quorum.

What's this thread going to be about?
Nada de particular.

Just came in from the pub after a few pints talking about nothing in particular with my friends for a couple of hours. Sounds just like the addiction thread proposal. I'll drink to that, in fact I'll drink to anything, but I don't like the beer in Pub51 so don't drink much in there.

Problem is that I haven't found any really good Thai crab cakes since eating off the street vendors in Bangkok back in the '80s. I probably would have to learn how to make them myself.

Have you found any pre-packaged commercial crab cakes in the stores that you like? If so, what brands? The ones they make at the local store delis ain't cuttin' it.

These ones I get at Walmart are actually better than the deli made ones around here (They make some kinda decent lobster ones too) but if I could find even better ones I'd buy 'em.

They are pretty easy to make. Costco sells a tub of fresh crab meat that I like to use. I've also used canned crab meat. You can tweak the recipe below to make them spicy.

Never watch this before you try to go to bed:

I was in the mood for something different this evening. If this don't light your fire, it's because your wood's wet.

OK Thanks. Looks like a good minimum filler recipe. I'll have to see if my local Costco has the same tub and try that out.

If you're going to make your own crab cakes the recipe on the back of an Old Bay seasoning can is very good and will make an authentic MD crab cake. Pro tip: add 1 tbs Worcester sauce and fry in peanut oil or bacon grease. Screw cooking lite, this is an occasional treat. However, crab meat (good crab meat) is expensive. This place will deliver them to your door packed in dry ice for not that much more. They are the real deal. I've used them for myself and as presents to others. They always get rave reviews. The steamed crabs are outstanding as well. I also join the VIP club every year. It pays for itself with 2 orders.

I have 4 usable bikes, all old stock refurbs. I love the old stuff. Image that. Shocking *YaWn*. Guitars, I dont even know. 10 maybe. I gave two to a poor friend of mine who just became a Dad, but I still think 10?!?!? I've moved 10 times in the last 14 years, and I've had o devote a whole car to moving them. I always assumed my playing would rise commensurately with the amount of them I owned, but maybe it doesn't work that way? a whole house full of them and I still am . . . .playilly challenged?

Wow, expensive so I'll hafta try my hand at making them. I'll definitely seek out the Old Bay recipe. What I miss is getting them off of Bangkok's street vendors daily for pocket change. A must if you're ever there. And the street vendors usually get their meat fresh every morning unlike the indoor places with walk in frig's. If they're busy they're likely good.

Weren't you afraid of getting weird parasitic diseases from that stuff over there?
