I really never had a problem off the street vendors that I frequented in Bangkok. I have gotten a mild case of the poots from a couple of the indoor places in a 5 month period......But nothing really serious.

Like I said though the better street vendors get their meat fresh daily whereas the indoor places have walk in frigs and might keep their meat a little too long. If the street vendors are busy with lotsa customers and the meat looks good they're probably a safe bet. When they run out, they're out of that item for the day.

The worst ptomaine poisoning I ever had, btw, came from a smorgasbord in Lemon Grove California. I thought I was going to die just from dry heaving after the food was eradicated. I had to go to the E.R. just to medicate and rehydrate.

The steamed crabs are outstanding as well. I also join the VIP club every year. It pays for itself with 2 orders.

My can of Old Bay has a recipe for salmon, not crab cakes. :/

I like the low amount of filler and fat binders in the Cooking Light recipe. It lets the flavor of the crab stand out.

Does anyone else hate the third-party home improvement sales people at Home Depot who try to corral you into listening to their sales pitch and get miffed when you brush them off?

Kidding, of course. I know most of us have graduated to Windows ME.

I moved to Florida 1-1/2 years ago and I'm still getting mail from folks in my former county who are running for office.

You're likely correct. All I could think of was some kind of cheese dish. Not sure what it has to do with computers, but I certainly don't know everything.

Does chain lubrication change after 50?

Hey I tried a small portion of a Cajon recipe that was linked beside yours with some canned crab today. I just happened to have more of those kinds of ingredients on hand. I substituted a smaller percentage of the generic bread crumbs and just a little bit of New Orleans fish fry stuff for the Japanese crumbs (will locate the Japanese crumbs next time). I also went without the celery seeds that this recipe called for but added the diced bell pepper & green onions and added the grated lemon rinds from your recipe. I did tweak it for a little lower filler than the Cajon recipe called for. Pretty darned good stuff. I'll shop around for more ingredients to further tweak it with next time and maybe some fresh crab too. I used sweet red Thai sauce for a dip this time.

I'm over 50 and I like a mixture of WD40 and Wildroot hair tonic for lubing chains. That combo works pretty good on my hair too !

The owner of my local bike shop and our team sponsor was hit by a car on the shop ride on Saturday. He's mostly okay. His left forearm was hit by the mirror of a passing car, sending him into the ditch and breaking the mirror off the car. His wife picked him up and took him to urgent care, and his main injury is a large hematoma on his forearm. I'm so glad it's not worse. He's a great guy (over 50), rides a lot and is a great supporter in the local bike community.

Just sayin'

I'd recommend the thread be a floating one instead of a sticky. I'd also recommend it be locked and renewed periodically to keep it fresh.

And everyone would have to promise to be really really nice.

If we blow this off, I think there will be no reason to fuss about having threads moved in the future. It is a chance to be proactive here.

Any thoughts?
What addictions are accepted? I can offer beer, Swiss cheese with Triscuits, Italian steel, American steel, Campagnolo, tubular tires, the Internet, and pistachio nuts. Former addictions - ... well, we're not really interested in those, are we? TMI?

Ok, I'd better add Emma Peel to my list.

I think any of those would work.
