It's not the second cowan frame.
Cowan got to use the first prototype of this bike, and it is being used this year as the race bike.
The bike is designed to have a fork with 4" of travel in the front and 4" of travel in the rear. The bikes name is the Kona Howler. The one in the pic is a hybrid between the Kona A and the Kona Dawg

Here's some updated pics of my ride. Since the last time I posted it I've added a RF Deus stem & Prodigy flat bar, Mavic Crossland wheels with Nokian NBX 2.0 Lite tires with Stans sealant, and a few little things like XT rear derailler, Flite saddle, bolt on axles, bolt seat collar, bolt tuning etc.

Updated pictures of my ride. Just installed a set of mavic x321 rims and xt disc hubs with black dt 14g spokes. Also a set of avid mechanical disc. I thought I would never try discs but I guess I can't knock it till I try it. It did add some weight the the bike.

Like I said, it's basically my do-everything MTB.

However, to get to those trails, you have to ride up to the top of the mountain first, and I use this bike for that, too (even though the ride up is mostly on the road). I'm also trying to learn to dirt jump, but I'm not very good at that, yet.

Very pretty, only problem i have with it is that i would never use a bike rack on the back ofa car to carry such a beautiful thing, i'd spend more time looking in my rear veiw mirror than on the road... If i could drive ofc
great bike though
