Sometimes it's up to you to prove it was your bike to begin with I think. 5-6 years ago I shipped my buddies bike to him in Sweden on FedEx (for $500!) and when it arrived they wanted to charge him duty on it. He got out of paying it, but it was a hassle.

Oooh didn't think of that. *slaps forehead* There shouldn't be customs or sales tax considering I bought the bike myself in Canada... But I don't know if that's how it works. I guess maybe there might be customs. I can drop off some cash to you. One way or another I will pay for it of course.

That ride north from Kipling looks OK - I wonder if it'd be nicer to adapt the route to go north through the Humber valley (prettier than concrete at least) - I've taken that path system all the way north to Steeles and it's nice, much nicer to ride along than streets.
There are quite a few options to get out and onto the roads to turn west and head into Miss./Brampton. 120k+ let's say ~30k to get in/out of town itself, 150k in a days work won't be bad. If I can do it, I'd bet everyone here can.

Was it Bruce Dickinson, and were you hosting BOC?

Yeah 150+ is going to be too much for me too. My shoulder does feel much better but that is a pretty big commitment if it gets sore. I haven't done anything even remotely close to that since my injury.

flimflam can't even make it this Saturday... pipe down, you! I was more in the mind of a 75-100km ride as well... I'm open to alternate route suggestions. Preferably with ample foliage viewing opportunities.

i'm a first time caller; long time listener. and i need help.
i murdered my bike over the weekend and would like another one quickly. is there anywhere that still has fixed gears lying around at this time of the season? la carrera was empty, curbside had nothing, bike on wheels had one sputnik and a whack of viciously overpriced conversions, urbane seemed to only have a few bikes too large for me. any other places i should look to? i am just looking for a cheapo fuji or KHS at this point.
thanks in advance, gang.

"63km Kennedy-Pickering
Start: Kennedy Subway Station
This route is similar to the shorter Rouge Park one, except you get to travel further east into Pickering. Coming back along Taunton Road takes you through some lovely greenbelt landscapes."

also, here are some pictures of the badlands for those that haven't seen them before: https://flickr.com/search/?q=Cheltenham+badlands&m=text

Hey operator, I remember that you are involved with Bikechain, do you guys take donations? I have two old Supercycle mountain bike frames here but I have no use for them. They are in okayish shape and they can probably be used by someone, just not me.

though I'm trying to switch my day to make the ride (assuming I can climb and get down the tower fast enough to make the meet up).I added the extra km's because I always prefer to ride to a start point rather than mix it up.. I rode to St. Catherines to do the Pedal 100 ride, for example

I feel inspired to go to great lengths, including time travel if necessary to kick Mr. Ambrosio in the balls. Is there a Mr. Ambrosio? I want to personally 'thank' him for making the rims that take the award for toughest to put a ****ing tire on. I am selling these wheels very soon. I have ****ing had it. I even tried to buy tires based on how easy they would be to put on and it is still ridiculous. Folding tires are actually easier to put on believe it or not. $#%&#%^!!!!!!!
