This morning, perusing the 41, I saw a user name that's the same as last name of my new follower. Yup - same guy, but couldn't have known that I was on the board before the follow request.

Unless he saw your 41_Addiction strava club membership, which has a link to an old locked version of this thread.

I think it was more like a month before I got my replacement. Week to get there, 10-14 days they quote, and week to get back to you.

Should only take 2 days via ups ground to get to Kansas from Minnesota.

They quoted 2 timeframes in different emails. 10-14 days and 2-5 days. We'll see...

Yeah, but it works really well, and is AERO to boot. Probably even weighs less. Did you forget you're in the 41 or something?

How conspicuous is it that I do a lot of customer support when I feel the need to state the obvious like that? Sorry, it's automatic at this point.

Nope. Enhanced privacy settings hides clubs.

Sunblock is aero?

I sense a scientific test suggestion for GCN...

2017 here, anything is possible.

Also, I mentioned an 18 year old kid here who turned pro this season and was involved in the crash that killed Chad Young at the Tour of the Gila.

Well, I was having drinks on Friday with wifey on a patio next to a common bike route and said, "Oh, look at this dude with pro kit on an S-Works, what a pose... never mind, he's a pro."

Probably happens all the time in Boulder. I guess the kid is riding to clear his head before their next race.

Get a good base burn at the beginning of the season - then your burn time is automatically delayed an hour or two further on repeat instances. It's proven by science, case studies by yours truly.

P.S... Anyone have a good skin doctor recommendation for a decade or two later?

Hairy arms can't be aero. Also, arm hair coated in sunblock is like flypaper - so gross to ride through a cloud of gnats and have a bunch of the buggers hitch an unwilling ride.

They do. They are, in fact, our team's sponsor, I got those tubulars for free.

First ride on those tires and first time I use tubulars, so I have nothing to compare to. I have been using the Relix clincher this year a lot though, and I'd say they are alright. Comparable to other high quality tires like the Corsa or Open Pave. The tread pattern is a bit ridiculous.

Or just possibly was it an ideal experience?

I didn't carry any spares, nor did I need to do any road-side maintenance. I think whoever said they take the same space as two tubes is wrong. They seem much bulkier than that. I am still not sure I'll be using these for anything but racing. Gluing was not too bad, except for the removing the old glue part, which was a pita, and putting the new tire on, which took some effort. I don't think I got it perfectly straight but close enough.

Is there any particular tubular that is small enough to be carried as a spare? I still wouldn't feel super confident having to do a roadside repair, especially the removing old tire part, but I don't get flats very often (I'm at five all-time, two of them happened simultaneously) so maybe I'll risk it once in a while.

OMG, did you just admit to not shaving your arms and legs in the 41????

I admitted to not shaving my arms. You shave your arms? Weirdo.

I'm too Zzz to be operating on a functional level within salesforce. Hard, no, redundant in how we sometimes use the functions, yes.

PepeM 05-08-17 09:24 AM

I only use aerophobic sunscreen.

The last of my Thai tan has faded. Oh well. Guess I'll have to go back.

The next UPS scheduled event on my NAS shipment is Wed. I knew this as of yesterday, but have still checked the tracking number no fewer than three times today.

My think I shipped to Italy a month ago still shows "cleared customs" as of 4/27, no other updates. Snail mail indeed.
