We have fiber but are cheapskates so only have 50 Mbps speed. Fast enough for our needs.

Why are your upload and download so close (or better) while most upload speed offerings are much slower than download?

Dunno. ISPs have always gimped the upload. I guess that they figure that the Average Joe doesn't need to upload as much as they need to download.
