Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Those guys build relationships, they don't just make the sale. I worked there for about 5 months, and can't really find a bad thing to say about them. Astute businessmen, and good to their employees as well as their customers. We were told to match the customer to the bike, there was never any pressure to make a sale. Yeah, you can complain about the prices, but the service is better than most. And if you go in and tell big Dave that I sent ya, he'll probably hook you up as best he can. They know some people aren't going to shop from based on price alone, and they're willing to try to win your business.
FWIW, I like to look at $10k bikes more than $1k bikes, wven though thats more my budget.

People are sheep. They probably go home and whack off to their Tom Boonen poster too.

Torpedo7 buy OEM parts and then sell them retail. I suspect that's what CRC/PBK do, too, because I have OEM accounts and guess what? Their prices are similar plus a comfy little margin. Makes my job ****ing hard, is what it does. No cream on the parts sales.

7 grand for a frame, seatpost, stem and forks. How dumb are people?

Fairy nuff. And you're one of the few that have opened your wallet in Civic. But when not looking for bike porn, Hadleys can probably help you a bit better.

Do you guys watch Fifth Gear on Foxtel? I've been downloading them off the net. They're longer than the ones we get here, and as a bonus, I get to watch them as soon as they air.

*thumbs up*

Great show.....I'm a massive Tiff Needle fan.

Not as good as Top Gear with Clarkson, tho.

Did you see the ep when he raced Vicki (in the V10 M5) in the BMW F1? Incredible.

Yeah, Tiff is cool. I like all the presenters actually, they really compliment eachother well.

I haven't DL'd any Top Gear yet, but with Fifth Gear on holidays until after the world cup, maybe now's a good time.

Dunno who the Stig is, but I've seen a chick driving round Auckland in an MX5 with "THST1G" as a personalised plate. Maybe she's his squeeze.

I got dive bombed this morning by a top dressing plane, I missed a really close up pic while I was getting my phone out. Misty and frosty about in the hollows as well.
