Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I haven't DL'd any Top Gear yet, but with Fifth Gear on holidays until after the world cup, maybe now's a good time.

I think Top Gear is up to season 8 now. I like Clarkson, too many fantastic quotes to remember.

Stig has been a few people. Obviously race car drivers. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stig

I download them, but this weeks one is really large ~700mb instead of the usual 350mb.
Yep its season 8, episode 5. 5 week break now for the world cup.

yes, came stock in tubless on the cannondale. imho, good rear, not a good front. if your a pythons, geax mezcal kind of person youl love them. if your a larsen, square block tread kind of person, youl find them twitchy.

they are quite fast rolling though. problem is when you ocme to a corner. they are goodish through sand as well if i recall correctly.

i swapped my front out for a larsen and was much happier.

Slightly along the same line (ie funny clothing slogans)... bloke in a rockclimbing film last night was wearing a cap with the slogan "I only date crack ho's"... a nice double entendre relating to his climbing specialty. Just the hat to wear to try and impress potential in-laws tho

The correct spelling is squeal .... and it really irritates me. But then, I ain't a squealer.

The other thing that annoys me is the stupid habit most Americans have of screaming "woo", at the slightest provocation - a sound which, unfortunately is being more frequently heard over here these days.

I'm with you on the squealing Matagi. My neighbours' kids shriek when they have their mates round. It's a noise that just goes straight through you - worse than the fingernails down the blackboard. Teenage girls and swimming pools is a bad combination as well

You know, I never thought I'd ever call a Merc 'sexy', but that CLS55 AMG is, well, sexy.

Pretty sure John Singleton has one of those, black amg jobbies, It does look impressive. Not 100% sold on the styling, give me a cl65 anyday (or a SLR, I won't complain).

Merc is the only major German car manu that I have not owned yet. One day.

Great face/smile. Love the way she speaks. Is a great driver but is a little chunky in the b*tt. She gets about a 7.5 as a package.
