Hey matagi, can you get mr matagi to chip in with his own sig sometimes. I can never tell which of you is sprechen except when you try to tidy the thread up a bit. The 2-for-1 deal is kinda creepy.

The Coach decided to change the work out last night. Still did 2 k in the pool and then went into the gym. At the end of our usual weights work out he said, " I reckon you're doing enough cardio at the moment so I'd like to build your legs strength a little."
The next 40 minutes was spent doing:
- 4 x 20 reps of barbell squats (25Kg)
- 4 x 20 reps of dumbell squats with bumbell held at shoulder height arms extended (4kg)
- 6 x 20 reps of seated press. On weight #12 of 20 weight stack
- 5 x 15 reps of seated leg extensions. On weight #2 of 8 weight stack (nearly farken killed me)
- 3 x 15 reps of standing calf extensions. About 40kg
- 10 x 20 reps of Crunches on a Swiss Ball FARK ME!!!
- Stretching and finish
Legs are stiff today! I sneezed before and had stomach spasms from the crunches. I hurt.

(Sorry climbo)That sprint was awesome, there were two different groups that had Robbie boxed for ages before he even got near TB, EZ and OF. Two more metres and it was his. Nice to see Zabel pip Boonen too.

So which former Soviet nation is this coach from wattsy? I think he's forgotten to give you the special "vitamins" that will allow you to keep training like that

...He tells me this session will be a 'once a week affair'. I've got a 40 min recovery run at lunch today which should help a little.

Seriously though, what are you training for? Your fitness regimen sounds a little "old-fashioned".

pain is good for you. Except kicking your little toe into something sharp and immovable on a cold night, that's just nasty.

...Old Fashion, absolutely!!! I think the problem is my coach is an under 30 ex semi pro triathlete who's living vicariously through his student, even though I'm nearly twice his age. Anywho, I'm going to put in till Noosa, do the race and then back right off. I have to say though the old body is starting to look like a new body and I am pleased to report that have discovered that I have ribs under all that 'skin'.

As you lose muscle mass you lose weight right? So let's say I was 73kg, lost 1kg of muscle mass and now weigh in at 77kg. 4kg gain, 5kg will be fat. Either that or I drank a stien of lowenbrau before jumping on the scales.

You're reading right: I lost a kg or so of muscle mass. 8 weeks later I'm still battling to shed the lard. Mind you it would help if I stopped drinking like a track sprinter.

Heard a cyclist killed a pedstrian up in Brisbane, was the a pedestrian taking out the darwin awards by walking a red light?

ugh, im finding loosing the weight the most rediculously hard thing ive ever done! if only i was 19 and 65 kilos again
ive gone to the point of tracking what i eat through www.fitday.com and using Chris Carmichaels guidlines in his food for fitness book and so far ( as in the last week) it seems to be working, as ive identified some big issues with my diet and corrected them. what i cant beleive is how much i eat - like i never stop. lack of carbs seems to be the main thing, witnessed by me blowing up spectaculy half way through my interval sessions last night
oh well, BF scales told me 18 % and 78.3 kilos this morning, so hopefully thats real progress not pureley water \ glyocgen loss
