Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Didja spend any time in the slammer prior to the charges being dropped?

2 weeks off the bike due to work ,and finally a ride today that sucked mightily. Oh well tomorrow will be better, I hope.

But on a brighter note today is day 4 off the soda train. I will lose this extra 50 lbs. I am carrying.

Well I just got home from the hospital. That was fun. Started with headache, blurred vision, left hand numbness, and finally top of throat numbness. ER was.. exciting? CT scan and blood tests, IVs suck. Neurologist appointment next week.

Not a stroke, most likely just a "complex migraine". I freaked the F out though when I saw stroke symptoms. Called 911, mom wasn't home. I'm 16. I need to be at least like, what, 95 before I have a stroke. My first thought was "oh god, I might be having a stroke. I better be able to race July 10"

3 days after riding and my thigh muscles are still aching, still making me walk funny. What the hell is that all about? Maybe I have been over doing it. 4 days of hill repeats, then 105 miles saturday and then 50 miles sunday. that's not too much is it?

I would guess that in rare instances anybody can have a stroke. When it's neurological, don't F around. You did the right thing.
