Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There's one particular stretch on the Nyack Ride that always hits 30+, on a really fast day 33-35 mph sustained for a couple of miles. Even when there's no breakaway up the road to chase. They are trying to drop you you silly Fred.

One thing I've noticed in following that Twitter feed lately is that they don't seem to have a lot of fun there.

Sounds like you have them right where you want them. I bet they were really hurting through that bit.

This place may be idiotic, it may be disturbing, but at least it's entertaining.

I do wonder whether you sleep, between working, riding an insane amount of miles, and posting on BF for hours a day.

The hills start 30-50 miles south of here as you head towards WV.

Fred question: what is the 33?

I miss him now.

He's like MJ: we don't care when he's here, he has some quirks, but then when he's gone we all miss him and call him the king of pop.

odd, it worked a bit ago. It goes to the 33 thread "Pictures of you suffering in a race" I think.
