My friend's mom hooked me up with the ultimate material back in the day. It was white plastic in a T extrusion approx 2" across the top of the T and one inch deep. I was wowed by her installation of 2 lengths of it on either side of her stovetop preventing gunk from migrating down there. She gave me 8' of it and I was stoked.
Unfortunately I didn't bring it with when I moved.
Wouldn't help much with the fridge and such but stove droppings can get nasty.

I spent the majority of the day sitting on a tractor underneath a cloudless sky in a sun drenched alfalfa field in beautiful horse country.
I also got to see one of the natural things that I have always wanted to experience before I passed. Hardly a day goes past that I don't hear an owl hooting but I had never seen one in the wild. As is the case with most of my encounters with wild animals it was in very close proximity and very peaceful. Owls are known to be, well, owly and they are capable of causing some amount of harm with their very strong claws if they fell threatened.
I think it was napping since it was in a small tree and tried to fly to the ground inconspicuously. I had just watched a red tailed hawk take flight from a branch 10' above my head so I was pretty sure it was a wounded enemy of its. I moved up from about 15' and didn't find it till I was about 3' away from its hiding spot in the weeds it crawled under. One look at those eyes and there was no mistaking what it was and that it was not hurt. I slowly backed away and gave it a wide berth to get where I was going. Probably not everyones idea of a goal in life but what can I say, I am dull.

I washed and waxed my favorite road bike (for trips of 5 miles or less). It looks WAY better than it did pre-wax in real life, not much different in pics though.

What are you using for a brake on that bike? It looks like it has super-long-reach.

It's the stock brake. This was an imitation mountain bike. The reach is RIDICULOUS! It's not even a real brake no matter what I do to it. It only gives you the illusion that you're slowing down.
Since it's a single speed I'm not likely gonna be going up and down hills on it but I still would like some stopping power. I do have a spare front road wheel I could put on and I've sourced a front non-recess brake caliper for $18 shipped. So I might go that way if I feel fancy.

Here's a better pic of the ridiculous reach of the flimsy brake caliper! Those Chinese are crazy!
Please ignore the mega valve stem. I keep forgetting you don't have to special order those anymore. I just grab the presta tube of the size I want and still forget to check the valve length.

I saw Spoonman play on the streets of Seattle a couple of times. That dude ran around in bare feet all the time. Those were the gnarliest callouses of all time. RIP Artis.
Man, when I saw Artis and his bro on the acoustic guitar while awaiting entrance into chibo matto they played an amazing set.

Damn, I'm getting a little weepy now. I can't remember the name of the dude that was rockin' acoustic guitar while spoonman was spooning.

Last time I saw SpoonMan was by Key Arena before Cibo Matto.
I need to think about that for a minute. Sorry.

Move along you stinking hippy activist.
Up at five AM so I could take care of things and still get out for a ride before it gets unbearably hot. Lucky me a hundred mile string of bad thunderstorms is an hour away. Way to ruin the one day that I had some free time, Nature.

Grrr. Trying to get up the courage to bike into work. The plan is to bike 30 miles before work and around 15 at lunch. Just need to break that barrier and do it. I'd have to bring my bike into the office.
