Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I can safely say this early in the week that the frothy count will well surpass the km count on Saturday.

are we watching the red carpet hoo-ha tonight on 10?

...personally I think the red carpet hoo-ha will be supreme perve value!......as a fellow 'digital' driver, you'll doubtless already be aware of the benefits of the Victoria's secret show on FTV...lol

cheers,

Sh*t yeah....channel 130 gets a great run at my place. Those lingerie shows are awesome. Have you also noticed the soft porn creeping in on Friday nights on Showtime after the footy, about 11pm/midnight? Great stuff.

I'm in the gym tonight....chest/tris, so I'll be making numerous trips under the TVs to catch the action.

today's trivia: I was at school with Tania Minnici, now Tania Buckley. It's lucky she's good at selling shoes...

Probably. I can see how both of them would think a quick "slow down and toot" would be attractive....

Which lucky dumb footballer. Usually the crassest get the good 'uns.

Of course, being married to Bucks would make any chick go blonde... it's the only way he could get any brains so he can talk to Eddie at the same intellectual level.

The rumour at the start of the year was that she was and Buckley approached McGuire and did the 'me or him goes' speech. The rumour was froma reputable source but obviously neither went, so it could have been crap.

Unfounded mate....but I will share a little nugget from a school camp, circa 1988.

Imagine 30 kids and a sprinkling of teachers out for a week in the Grampians, camping, cooking, etc etc. We were all carrying water in those aluminium tube thingys and of course some kids went through it quicker than others. When quized why TM had so much water left after a couple of days and if she could possibly share, she replied "I need it to rinse my hair."

Oohhkaayyyy.....

Can't believe you bogans are talking about footy. Farken hell.

Anyway, while you geniuses are checking out the Footy slappas and wishing for a 'wardrobe malfunction', I'll be watching Denton and John Saffran vs God. SOMEONE has to raise the tone around here! Heh heh.

Yep, it's pretty funny. Mr.Saffran has outdone himself.

Speaking of outdoing yourself, check out this nasty video. WARNING - Just because you have the ability to ride, does not mean you have the ability to fall. I think this guy must be a drunk roadie >>

errr.......NURSE!

Rode my first metric century for about 6 months on Sunday, went surprisingly well I thought. All up the the ride took 5 hours including about an hour stop for lunch. Pretty flat with only a few hills. Weather was beaut, 17deg C sunny and partly cloudy. Got sunburned arms though, first time it was warm enough for short sleeves in a few months. Got swooped on two seperate occasions by magpies. Got one puncture (only person out of ~25 riders!) and was very lucky that the last guy in the pack stopped to ask if I needed any help just as I found out my CO2 gadget didn't work otherwise i'd probably still be walking back!

While we were talking TV shows, anybody see Eagle and Evans. Espec the hard-nosed, thin-lipped, tall woman who gives the short fat bloke a hard time every episode before scaring the little bugger off. One of the greatest crack-ups on recent viewing. Probably ranks with the best Brit humour.
