Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Man, I seen some Col Nagos at Richmond Cyclery....ooooh baby.

It gots me thinkin' that Richmond Cyclery may be ready to knock off SBR as Melbourne's sexiest bike shop, but SBR still has the sweet smell of coffee from their la-di-da coffee machine

The last time I walked in there I was ushered out like a smelly dog

Yeppo...tonight it's legs, so squat, leg press, SLDL, etc etc....

My leg press is approaching PB from the track days....1000lbs inc. sled! Still got a fair way to go to match Florian Rousseau's 305kg squat for 3 reps, though....

I used to be one of those skinny (77kg) cycling gym instructors that the big "Southern Europeans" would poke fun at.

No matter how much "science" I threw at them, they would say: "yeah, but you can only bench 180".

...sounds like I'm gunna have to push you off the leg press & the squat machine, (can't use the free weight version, crook knees!)...hitchy is allergic to upper body weights, so i'll do a bit of cardio for warm up & then legs. Wat time you dere?

"Daily Mirror Book of Facts: Did You Know?........." that it's unwise to do super heavy leg extensions because you aint supposed to apply a lot of force perpendicular to the tibia. It can put strain on the posterier cruciate, which is similar to the ruckmen's shin clash injury.

I don't do leg extensions at all. Too much shear force.
