Do those take a 3/32 or 1/8 chain?

3/32"

Huffandstuff 03-05-13 11:53 PM

Scrod, can you recommend me a good quality 165 crank/BB set in the 200-300 range for a leader 735, needs to not be afraid of water due to living in Portland.

Also, how bad would a 30mm rake fork be in terms of toe overlap?

Scrodzilla 03-06-13 06:03 AM

Even the smallest size Leader's have no toe overlap - even with the recommended 30-35mm rake fork.

You'll need to be more specific about the crank. Are you looking for 130 or 144 bcd?

Scrodzilla 03-06-13 06:05 AM

Just so everyone knows, Angie and I are leaving for San Diego in a couple of hours and while I may check in from time to time, I most likely won't be spending my time there on BikeForums. If you ask a question here, please be patient.

Thanks!

Huffandstuff 03-06-13 09:38 AM

144 bcd my bad.

ColonelJLloyd 03-06-13 01:10 PM

Safe travels, Scrod.

But than you'd have to change your name.

Jandro 03-06-13 08:16 PM

Bummer you aren't stopping in the bay area. I'd buy you a beer. Or a burrito, whichever you prefer.

jdgesus 03-06-13 08:17 PM

Mumonkan 03-06-13 08:19 PM

I have an Aunt who lives in Renton - I should visit her soon. And bring my bike. And ride with you. And drink beers with you. You know, if you're into that sort of thing.

It actually stands for Nice Young Chap. or it at least it will when I move to Cali.

Mumonkan 03-13-13 09:15 PM

is there any reasoning behind the way some spoke companies sell only odd or even numbered lengths?

jdgesus 03-13-13 11:21 PM

wife has family in SF. SF is better than renton

Training.Wheels 03-15-13 02:54 AM

I love this man's optimism.

himespau 03-15-13 06:36 AM

Wow, his first post back from vacation and he's already grumpy?

Scrodzilla 03-15-13 06:47 AM

1. That wasn't my first post since being back.
2. The number of times I've had to tell people in this thread to ask Retrogression-related questions in the marketplace thread is uncountable at this point.
3. I'm not "grumpy", I'm a realist. Having to say the same thing over and over again gets old fast.

europa 03-15-13 06:52 AM

Dunno mate. When I behave like that, I'm called a grumpy old phart, the difference becoming, the old phart part is accurate in my case:D

Scrodzilla 03-15-13 06:57 AM

So be it.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to say that it wasn't deserved, more that the first question you were asked (in this thread) since your trip, was one that you'd been asked many times before and needed this response.

Scrodzilla 03-15-13 07:09 AM

It's all good, man. :)

evilcryalotmore 03-15-13 08:50 AM

i have omniums on my kilo tt, with a team sram bb. I'm installing the stock truvativ (dark Grey round) bb on a bt edge. The same crank arms from my kilo that fit, do not fit on the bt edge. The spindle is too long, I bottom out the spline on nds and the cranks can slide a good 5-10mm with a real audible slap. I know spacers aren't supposed to be used. My question is, why does the cranks fit on the kilo. With a 68mm bbshell and doesn't fit on btedge. (68mm bbshell) also, does anyone know what I can do? My neighbor had same issue with stock bb and cinelli mash. He used a 1.5mm spacer on nds. And because of the nds arm rubbing on bearing seat he blew the bearings to crap. (should i cut my losses nd get sram team bb)
