Tiger, have you tried DHL or EMS? EMS is part of USPS. But as I recall, our tandem weighed about 7kg boxed, and it was in the low $300s. You may have to suck it up. Or try a freight forwarder. Don't you have a contact in the US?

Near work: young kid with dereilleur jammed between cluster, spokes and seat stay. Chain broken. Lug all twisted and unrepairable looking. Somehow he'd pulled the mother of all chain-sucks and ripped his dereilleur clean orf!!!

Kid: "D'ya reckon they'll be able to fix it?"
I wasn't confident.
Kid: "Damn. I had a long ride planned for today"
What could I say? He wasn't going anywhere for a while

I did have, but it dried up (like everything else it seems).

No chance of sucking anything up here I'm afraid. 4 years ago this box cost USD80 bucks, now the best price I've got is US375.

As we so colourfully say here - "**** that for a joke".

At least it explains why I have been feeling like crap for months.
Docs advice..continue to exercise just dont push it...

Latest information on GF reveals there's a possibility of brain complications which can induce chronic fatigue so be careful Paul. Take it easy and give yourself plenty of rest and recuperation time.

Come on over to Eastern Crk one sunday and do a crit/RR with the Waratahs. Very civilised racing. :)

Pshaw, or anyone else who knows... what sort of hardware do you need for this? i have an older P3 1GHz lying around, will a DVD burner, large HDD + TV card do the trick? or will i need a P4 multithreading wallet destroyer to do it?

as long as you dont want HD that setup is fine.
Make sure the graphics card has tv out (at least s-video)
I would probably buy a new case and hunt around for some silent fans apparently these nexus fans are the best
and a near silent psu
quiet pc stuff from pc case gear is a good place to start.

nothing worse than watching tv and hearing your computer

Ah, what romantic memories have been destroyed by thoughtless criminals...

I only wish we had thought of having our wedding photos taken with a burnout as the backdrop instead of some snotty camellia gardens and the beach.

Might be an option for the forthcoming 10th anniversary - must check if there are any drag meets in early April :p

Dunno too much about it all but +1 to Kotters comments re: hearing the PC.

mrkott3r 03-02-06 04:04 PM

1ghz is ok but run a gig of ram and xp shouldnt be too slow, get a wireless router and get cycling.tv and channel BT streaming into your living room

HDTVKSS 03-02-06 04:04 PM

thanks for that Pshaw and Mrkotter, will take that into advisement :)

did a 2 X 8 minute lactate threshold test last night, and got a result of 174 both times. last month i got a result of 172 both times.

is that an improvement or has it gotten worse? or is the difference to little to care?

Wife is an Aussie, lives in US with me, works for Corporate Aircraft Manufactur, they were in Singapore for an airshow, and she decided to stay in this part of the world for a week and visit Family, so since I have never been, I booked flight on Korean Air and 2 days later here I am, hahahah!

6700.00 they wanted, but I used Delta points, so its free! Atlanta GA to Seoul South Korea, 15 hours, then 90 minute layover in SK, and 10 hours to Sydney. Ive gone over 12,000 miles, thats a bloody long way.

coogee bay hotel, thanks for the lead.
