The best that anyone could hope for is that he goes out and rides the damn bike.

Nice

I think all of those bikes look sharp

I reckon that he could halve the spacers, leave the stem the way it is now and use compact bars for a similar position.

Obviously in that case, only the position in the drops could be the same.

If the bars are compact, there is no way that the variation between tops/hoods and drops can be the same. Why is this so hard to understand?

That said, I agree: the stack of spacers is unfortunate.

HOT rain bike.

I really don't find it correct to have a PM on a rain/commuter bike. :foo:

clean up the cockpit and i'd say it's HOT. Kinda funky with the stem stacked and bars with huge drop. I'd say flip the stem, cut the tube, get compact bars.

is that a custom finish?

I tried flipping the stem, lowering the stem, compact bars, ... , anything. This is what works best. The bike is a 2000 Bianchi Mega EV Titanium, i.e. a very racy frame - sadly my back isn't that racy (anymore)!

BTW those handlebars don't have a huge drop, must be the angle of the pic.

the groupset is period correct, but those pedals have to go.

Mtb pedals, belong on mountain bikes.

Actually the frame dates to the year 2002 (not 2000 as I wrote one post up). I believe square taper Chorus Carbon came out a couple of years later. But who cares, it looks so damn sexy! Not much on the bike is orginal - truth is nothing actually is original ;-)

Mtb pedals allow for mtb shoes allow for walking off the bike ... which is nice since this bike actually every once in a while does mtb trails ;-)

Oh I do, I do. It onbly looks clean in that pic because I just finished putting it together.

Thanks for all your comments, it is nice riding a bike that has people look twice.

Record had a CF crank in 2003, so Chorus was probably 2004.

It is also a trainer bike and I need a PM to do my intervals on the trainer.

Why not? I bought my sworks crux used and it had the SRM already on it. Should I take it off and toss it in order to be "correct"?

Besides, that crux is kinda becoming my winter training bike at this point because 1) spd winter boots 2) grippy saddle works better with tights and knickers on longer slower endurance rides 3) liking the feel of the 28 tubeless tires on the longer slower more ass on the saddle time base rides.

Some updates to my bike:

Replaced the Red 22 with Ultegra 6800...why? Because Sram...

Got gumwall tires - feeling them out - not sure how I feel about em.

Despite the rear valve not lined up properly that is extremely hot. The #gumwalls look perfect!

Great looking bike but the horrible name keeps it from being hot.

Agreed - great build and set up, but the name is a deal breaker.

How is it any worse than GIANT, or Trek, or Specialized, or Cube, or MOOTS?
All horrible names if they had been new to the market recently.
We have just gotten used to the stupid names and see them as normal now.

Gotta crush those commutes! If you can't KOM on your way to work, what's the point, really?! Haha.

Hot. I'm liking gum walls more knowing others hate them so much.

Gum walls have there place. Just not on high profile rims. It's like white walls on a two door Buick.

Ummmm no. There's a good deal of ambiguity in all of those names whereas "Kindhuman" is so on the nose that it smacks of pandering. Looking at their website, I don't think that it's a coincidence that their DTs are now being emblazoned with "KH" while "Kindhuman" is getting much smaller billing on the TT.

mpath 01-03-17 09:30 PM

Once a brand has market recognition, it doesn't really matter what the name is. KHS bikes....knowledge, health and strength. FSA....full speed ahead. 3T....Tecnologia del Tubo Torino. Wilier....W l’Italia liberata e redenta - W-Viva, long live Italy, liberated and redeemed.

In whose opinion?
Not in mine at least.
Do you know what MOOT means in derogatory Aussie slang?

What was wrong with Sram for you ? just curious. I am running Force 22 but always thought about going back to Ultegra

Cool.
Good argument.
You will now be known as the guy who has no real explanation for why you think this companies name is stupid.
Also the guy whose reading and comprehension skills are poor.
