omg holly is going to be a roadie. the madness has struck again.
i managed another ball busting ride today and i'm pretty sure i breathed in some volcano ash. when i got home there was a film of dust on my car which i have never seen before and whilst i was hammering away on the ride, my nose was dripping constantly. i might die in my sleep tonight.

Anyone who can justify buying carbon fiber inline skates is going to do well in this forum. Watch out pcad.

Bikes: depends on the day
I don't cycle ... I ride a bike. Hell I'm lucky if I can figure out how to change a flat. I'm no
threat to pcad. None whatsoever.

My plan is to lurk here alot and hopefully gather a bit of knowledge. At least enough so
that I don't sound like a total idiot when I enter a discussion.

Yeah I can justify buying the skates, but honestly I know absolutely nothing about cycling.

carbon shell boots, that price doesn't include bearings ... here's a link to the bootmaker's site ... he's made custom inline boots for Chad Hedrick, Apollo Anton Ohno. So he's good.

Are they laterally stiff yet vertically compliant?

fricking awesome, extremely fast and very light weight. He loves them ... that's all that really matters, isn't it?
Wait a minute ... I'm not skating on custom skates, perhaps I should think about it.

Dont let " sounding like an idiot " slow you down, heck look around in here. Ask questions and get involved, its the best way to learn.

I asked the SO this when I read this post since I don't have a pair. Anyway, yes and yes. Apparently they are

The only reason Holly is over here is so she can stalk me since the demise of the Go Ahead Ask Pcad thread in foo. Good grief now I'm finding our she doesn't even own a road bike.

At least you realize you are a relative newbie. So many post here thinking they are "it", yet have no clue how to change a flat. For that matter, you are conversing with people that go for bike rides in rain, and think it is OK. (Myself included)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I was kind of wondering what an in line skater was doing on a cycling site but I guess things could be stranger...... oh I see they are.
