There seems to be some epically ridiclulous chatter about some cyclist that has pushed this epically ridiculous thread onto page 2.
Thoughts?

I can't believe you would throw that in my face. I bear my soul, reveal my sensitive and vulnerable side and you make fun.
I need a hug. Where's pcad?

I guess we won't be seeing Floyd in the North America Cycling Hall of Fame anytime soon eh?

I don't know much about soccer, but I do know if you give up a goal kick from mid-field you pretty much stink.
Also true if you give up 10 points.

I almost always take an ibuprofen before I go on a ride. Am I doping?

Inflammation is part of the natural process of muscle building, inflammation is a crucial part of the healing process. Drugs like ibuprofen that reduce that pain also hinder that process. Bad idea to do that on a regular basis.

what is the purpose of taking ibuprofen before a ride. it's a pain killer isn't it?

I'll admit on a few stuffy nosed mornings I've doped up on this stuff:

They are green/white/red, I call them my Mexican EPO, that phenylephrine's got some kick!

120 hp, 114 hp, whatever. Enough hp for me. Although it's amazing how you can get used to speed, and now I sometimes thinking 'hey, another 20 hp and 50 lbs lighter and this bike would really fly'. Of course, it's already faster than just about any car. What kind of motorcycle do you have?

So, although I am ashamed to say it, I got some clip on aerobars tonight. Some nice Profile t2+ $100 aerobars for $20. Can't beat that. I put them on the Giant to ride home, then switched to the Lotus just for fun. I figure if I hate em, I can flip em, but they seemed fun on the ride home. Fast, and I look fast.

money is the only reason I have not yet purchased a full sized ST machine. They had an old connie 1000 when i bought my bike, but I thought it too big for a first bike. Kinda wish I bought it now.

The old connie sucked. The newer one is far different/better.

Pcadette had no issues with the SATs. She scored a combined 2010 on the three parts (650 math, 660 verbal, 700 written essay). That puts her in the 94th percentile of college bound HS students. Her scores are high enough that she can apply to schools like Columbia and NYU and actually have a chance of getting in. She also is also in the top 20 in her class of over 450 kids, so she has good grades. I'm very proud of her. When I was in high school I had mediocre grades and my SATs were lower (1210 combined under the old system, that would equate to about 1800 today, but I was a good writer, so figure 1900 or so). I got by on my questionable artistic talent, my matinee idol looks and my cutting edge wit. In other words I was skating on thin friggin ice.
Let's hope that brings some scholarship dough. Because if it doesn't I'll be entering the Bike Schwag Desert for a few years.
