Nice. How long was the exposure? Did you have any ambient lighting or strictly the laser?

So I just got Test Bike finished and thought I would post the photos. This was my first fixed gear bike and that is why it had been named Test Bike. It's a good bike but it is a tad bit to big for me. I went with the coaster brake on this setup due to the repaired chainstay. The front wheel is a Zipp that will be off this bike in two days or so. In the future I think I am going to strip the paint and redo it like a Little 500 bike. It doesn't look like much but it does have it where it counts. It'll make point 5 past light speed.

Hey Hammye, can I ask what the spacing is on that hub, and what crank/BB spindle width you are running? I had my coaster brake Schwinn roadbike, but then I had my wheel undished for my cruiser. Well, I'm building the World up again, previously it was negative dished to meet up for the chainline, but now undished. I'll have to get a significantly shorter BB to make this work, (but that's okay, I'm running a 125 now!)

By the way, I may have said something to Jimbo about you saying 'hi' yesterday. He mentioned somebody named Hazard...?

PS: lovely weather we're having, isn't it? I just took a 10 mi or so spin up to Broadway to pick up a half link. Yeah, I could've gone a few places that are closer, but what's the fun in that?

Uh yeah Hazards on this here board sometimes. The spacing on the hub is 120 and I have no idea about the spindle. I Know that it's Italian. I have to dig up my drill and get to work on the back of the forks. I have a front brake I want to put on this.

Oh my head was touched long before that. Sometimes it feels like it may even have been groped.

It's made in 1965, got front and rear rubber suspensions which take up bumps really well.
I had originally set it up as a 3 speed with 64x14t gear (roughly 55", 74", 98"), now, 64x15 fixed (69").

well, probably not, as he actually made a few track versions, even Tom Simpson test rode it at Herne Hill Velodrome.

Well his track versions do look similar do yours. On the other hand, he's notorious for having conniptions at the suggestion that someone might repurpose one of his bikes.

finally finished my every-day bike.

frame: mid-80's lugged steel --made in japan-- performance bicycles. it was the the first 'real' bike i ever bought; ordered it from their catalog and assembled it myself.
stem: italmanubri track stem (craigslist)
bars: scott's (came with the stem)
brake lever: tektro rx 2.0 (lbs)
calipers: high-end dia-compe (parts box)
seatpost: ritchey (nashbar)
saddle: selle italia (lbs remainders bin)
bb: shimano cartridge (parts box)
cranks: 167.5 campy strada's converted to track -- the inside chainring lip was milled off (ebay)
pedals: dura ace - not sure of the model (craigslist)
wheels: cheapie suzues laced to mavic ma-2's (craigslist)

Here's a pic of my ride. Mostly stock. I just put a Selle Turbo saddle on there and complimented it with some white bar tape. I'm looking for a nice steep threadless stem to throw on her (suggestions?) and i'll be rid of the ugly black toe clips after winter and replacing them with a set MKS clips. That's about it. I'm broke.

By the way, I think that there should be a Stickied Chicago Thread (for trading, selling, finding people to ride with, or for just general questions about LBS's in the city) Considering there are so many people on this forum from Chi. I often have questions that my friends can't answer but I usually don't want to start a new thread. I would I think that it could turn out to be a pretty resourceful page. Maybe someone with some pull around here could get this to happen.?

onetin: it's amazing that you can fit fenders on your lotus. nice tire clearance back there.

you are correct sir. last i heard, we had a mirror up under a different, "work safe" domain...but damned if i can remember it, and i think the image hosting portion is only available with the pen is mightier domain. (it's a message board).

yeah, i got the rear tire as close as i could to the fender without hitting. the harder part was getting the seatstay bridge clearance. also, full fenders + rear-facing dropouts = sadness when i get a flat.
